Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center
I would suggest sending 1 bouquet everyday instead of sending them all at once.
|
This message for those people who have got their perm approval already. ********Please update your information in trackitt.
|
I know you guys might have got the information from your sources as well but my lawyer just told me that if our labor gets approved by mid-august, we will be in a position to apply for the I-140/485.
She said...
"I am going to be sending to you guidance on what would be required for the application so that if the PERM gets approved you are ready and able to file the final phase by mid-August when the numbers will become unavailable"
One thing is for sure....written all-over the place...Numbers will become Unavailable for a long time. So it's now or not in the near future.
PLEASE JOIN THE FLOWER/FAX/E-mail Campaign!!!
|
pcsankar, dsikka, At this time, you guys may understand how frustrated I am.
|
Fax sent to Renata & Helen...Do you know their E-mail addresses?
Can I use my work Email to send the email?
|
I partially agree with you manoharc, But I don't see your name on the list?
Not to single out, but with a PD 05/24 you will benefit more than some...(mine is 06/08 :))
|
ashutrip, hard copy does not matter. you can file as soon as you see "CERTIFIED" online. it is confirmed.
spd123, thats true. all you need is to see "CERTIFIED" online by aug 15, keep your packets ready and send next day guaranteed delivery.
manoharc, i think it does not matter. dont time it. TIME IS TIMING US right now. just do it man.
shun666, we all understand. some people are just passive here. don't worry. whatever happens, happens for good. just keep doing your efforts. COM'ON PEOPLE. SEND. SEND. SEND.
Again, I suggest, dont use your named email guys. either your boss's email OR unnamed fax request.
RENATA, HELEN or whoever, just send guys. COM'ON PEOPLE.

You can also call/email Citizenship & Immigration Services Ombudsman re. the issue because the delay is depriving you the opportunity to file the I-140/I-485 whereas those who went through Chicago can process the next steps this month.

This is not about any PD friends. if we raise a voice and we get heard all our applications will be bulk handled and processed within this month time... you know what it takes... hardly 30 minutes to approve an application ... so Just think we will all get our numbers , if we fight together....
A slow processing center like ATL is processing 1 month in 15 days ... so just imagine if they speed up .... we have a chance to get 3 months in 1 month for sure .... ALL it takes is to show the strength ... if all flowers happen on one day we can show some big numbers ... make a notification to washington post as we are sending flowers to ATL for such & such reason .. it may be bringing some good ... instead of all sending on different days... ( This is my 2 cents on sending flowers on same day instead of sctattered days ...) ..but never stop sending some kind of communication daily as a reminder ...
Guys afterall we can even do all these for another 1 month .... if we keep quite now then you will have to keep quite for years togethyer ... i dont think we will be around these forums too after a month ... so when we have some life ..lets make some struggle ...instead waiting for a eventuality....
|
guys, I think for us to hv an impact, we need to hv a coordinated effort and send flowers to one place...lets decide where and to whom we need to send flowers...so far I've seen flowers sent to Helen, Renata and Carl..
We need to send to one top level person ...

I like Cherry's idea ..
1. We will all send flowers to one Place
2. Target one top guy in the office.
3. Send on the same day.
4. Announce to all possible agencies that flowers are being send that day. like washington post and other as somebody else can think of..
I think in DC office is the person in control sits ... but it would little bit dilute our effort as we need more emphasis on ATL center..so we will all have to target some big guy sitting in ATL center and send it ... any thoughts ...

Fax/email the below information to as many people as you can in the DOL.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is related to labor certification process at the Atlanta PERM Processing Center.
PERM applications from Mid-west and West cost are processed at Chicago center which is having a turnaround time of 8-10 days while Atlanta, which process applications from the East cost, has turnaround time of 130-160 days.Currently there are 1000's of PERM applications pending at Atlanta PERM Processing Center. There are people waiting for their labor applications (First stage towards attaining permanent residence) to be approved for more than a year. PERM Centers were established to process applications in 90 days, but there are 1000's of cases that have been pending for more than 3 months now. There is no visibility into the process, it is slow and makes life tough people who are here on an H1 or other work visas.
Dept of State has just came out with the updated visa bulletin which allowed all the applicants with the PERM approved to move to next stage of their Green Card process, and set up the dead line for that as Aug 17th 2007. Thus it is very important that Atlanta should process application at the same speed as the Chicago to have parity and fairness. But this is not happening and applicants who are on the East cost are paying heavy price for living in this part of the country.
A person who applied for PERM two weeks ago at the Chicago ( because he lives on the west cost) would get approved in 8-10 days and would be able to move to the next stage of Green Card process. However, if a person apply to the Atlanta center would have to wait about more than 3 months to get his application approved. In the present scenario when the visa dates are current, west cost people are moving rapidly ahead in the GC process. It is not because they have done something unusual but because of the long processing time at Atlanta center which is taking 10s of times more time in doing the same thing which its counter part (Chicago) is doing so quickly and efficiently.
I hope as a head of the department you look into the issue thats effecting thousands of legal immigrants and their families and resolve it. Please keep our hopes alive.
Thanks,
Hard Working Immigrants from Atlanta region.

Guys I dont think it will make any sence trying all these flowers stuff etc. As per some friends of mine Dol might get more slower with their approval process because USCIS already have a huge backlog and more are going to come by 17th August 2007. So they might slow down the process of approvals so that they can atleast restrict more to add to the pile. Dont get dishurtened but to me as well this seems very true after seeing the way they work.
|
dsikka,
As i said earlier, let make a coordinated effort. Sending flowers randomly is NOT going to help. We need to send to ONE person in Atlanta and I believe we should send to Renata J. Adjibodou, who is the centre director for forgein labor certifications.
PLS PLS...lets send to ONE person.
PLEASE SEND FLOWERS TO THE FOLLOWING PERSON -
Renata J. Adjibodou
Center Director, Foreign Labor Certification,
United States Department of Labor
Employment and Training Administration
Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center
Room 6M12
61 Forsyth Street, S.W.
Atlanta, Georgia 30303

Friends... Infact these DOL , DOS & USICS have no connection between them ... the visa numbers are from DOS and DOL does not even care about it ... so i would agree the fact that if USICS gets dates for Aug ..then DOL will stop for it ... THEY VIRTUALLY HAVE NO CONNECTION BETWEEN THEM ... The very basic fact is DOS & USICS were not even talking properly ..(we saw the dates back & forth coz of that )....
So at this point lets not think Atlanta will slow down and stop our efforts ... we will do our efforts and see what it offers us .... never quit atleast for another 1 month .....
|
deba,
you might be true. But if everybody thought like this and stop their efforts of making it happen I-485 as current then would it be current again. According to PERM it shouldnt take more than 3 months for process. The whole idea of Perm is to decrease the processing time. But its not happening in reality at Atlanta center. Its VERY unfair to all of us. If we keep qiet then no body would recognise this unfairness.
|
agreed Cherry. but just send guys. i hv doen my part. just encourage people to send , send and send. sooner than later.
also pcsankar , yo uare right. DOL , USCIS have no conn. we are just for help from them.
i am sure USCIS WILL NOT TELL DOL TO SLOW DOWN SO THEY HAVE A LOWER PILE ???????????
so carry on guys, send
Mon is too far. send today & tomorrow to renata if that be.
just send guys.
|
deba,
Thank you for your consoling thoughts. You may be right or wrong but please do not discourage people in this form. I know you don't belong in this thread any more:)
In a more thereotical way, DOL and USCIS are two different institutions with different set of goals and strategies.DOL does not get paid off of USCIS budget, So, there is no reason for them to process any slower or faster in the interests of USCIS.
Rgds!
|
FYI
Most employees in DOL ETA Washington DC are attending an off-site conference this week. So you may want to have your flowers delivered on Monday, 7/23/07. This is to make sure that the intended recepient gets the message.
Just a thought or as some of you put it "my 2 cents" - given the limited # of people, and in order to maximize impact, pl. send flowers to not more than two people.
|
Guys I had no intention of discouraging any one. My good wishes and prayers are with all of U coz I came out of the same situation u guys are in. Anyways hope DOL and USCIS donot atleast communicate during this period at all and things goes good for all. Good luck and God bless.
|
how about a flowering plant. i want them to take it home and think of us every time they see it
|
Thanks for the Information, MYGC2007! But most of us are sending to Atlanta office, unless they are heading for the conferene too...I'm sticking with the 07/19/2007.
Also, can you please add you case details to the 'Trackitt system'?
Click on the 3rd link (from left )on the top of this very same page.('Add My Case')...It's just that more data will help every one.
Regards!
|
ps57002,
really great idea. If they dont take it home, they atleast put it in the office. So that makes the difference.

Why this applicable to only Atlanta center. If this is the case, it shold be apllicable for both centers. Right????
