I welcome any thoughts from anybody to try and alternative plans/ideas etc ...
1. Phone , Fax , email --> are tried out ( lets continue... )
2. Sending flowers --> tried out (Can we plan for a bigger coverage for this by informing some agncies)
3. Calling Other organizations for help --> is anybody have any updates or any news ... we will try this ...
any ideas / any other un explored ways .pls post....
|
Any Approvals for today. Please post here if any body you know, who are not listed here and got approved yesterday or today.
|
As pcsankar said, i guess we've lost direction and momentum. If we are to succeed, we need to hv a coordinated effort. I would suggest, again lets try fax. Starting 2 PM today, why dont we send the fax to DOL washington and Atlanta. If we can get atleast about 50 faxes, it will get some kind of attention.
I dont see any approvals from Chicago also for the past 2 days...
|
Just did my 2nd fax to the congresswoman and sent a email to the 3 who are in high ranking to Atlanta DOL
Pasternak.Brian@dol.gov, Jean-Pierre.Isabel@dol.gov, Henderson.Mada@dol.gov.
Sent a email to Alex...
Now i would better think of sending a fax to Atlanta as our friend described ...lets all do that now ... i have a draft i am using for this (taken from previous forum discussion).. we can paste the same and send it to all in Atlanta center ...
Draft here:
I want to bring to attention one issue that has not been addressed. This is related to labor certification process at the Atlanta PERM Processing Center.
Currently there are 1000's of PERM applications pending at Atlanta PERM Processing Center. There are many people waiting for their labor applications (First stage towards attaining permanent residence) to be approved for more than 100 days.
Department of Labor (DOL) established PERM National Processing Centers for faster approval of labor applications last year but that seems to make the matters worse. While the Chicago Processing center seems to be processing applications in a timebound manner, the Atlanta center has been the opposite. PERM Centers were established to process applications in 90 days, but there are 1000's of cases that have been pending for more than 6 months now. There is no visibility into the process, it is slow and makes life tough people who are here on an H1 or other work visas.
As a legal, tax-paying and productive members of society, many careers are stalled by this seemingly never ending unfair wait in the American legal immigration system and is very discouraging and possibly detrimental to the interest of the American global economy in the 21st century.
The DOS having released their monthly visa bulletin recently with all dates being current. It would make it absolutely necessary for us to be able to use this one time opportunity to submit the next stages of our immigration process . DOS has very clearly stated that they will retrogress the dates in the forthcoming visa bulletins. In this situation, it makes it even more necessary for us to be able to submit our applications. But we are all stuck in this black hole called the Atlanta PERM Processing Center. Its been a very long awaited turnaround of dates to see DOS dates set to be current.
I this regard, we would be very grateful if this issue can be addressed quickly . I would appreciate if you can request the Atlanta PERM processing center to start processing our labor applications in a timebound manner and also to clear the backlogs. This would be of immense help to legal, tax-paying and law abiding members like us. Atleast then we will not be caught in a never ending cycle of waiting and uncertainty for us & our family members. Your prompt action would be much appreciated.
If this email is addressed to the wrong person , pls help forward the same to the concerned in getting appropriate action .
Thanks,
Applicant -Atlanta PERM Center
Can somebody post any other ideas...
|
Folks , wakeup there is one approval for today !!!
looks like the ATL people were busy collecting our Bouquets and could not approve any of our applications for today thus far ... looks like all our deliveries are over and now we can see some forward movement from our ATL center...
|
Here it comes first approval of the day
|
Still they are processing March applications. I don’t know when they are going to process April applications??
|
There are still few of Feb that are not approved or that they have not updated in Trackitt. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying....
|
Great! Its unfortunate that they are approving the cases randomly. Nothing against those who got benifited out of it. They seem to have forgotten about the FEB applications altogether.
|
Today is the 142nd day of waiting for my PERM. I applied on Feb 27th. No response so far....
|
We can just pray at this time. This is unfair treatment of atlanta center we cannot make this deal.
|
guys this wait is killing me.
Also I have a question: Is there any time frame that we have to apply next stage I140 (Hopefully I 485 also if i get my labor approval before july 31) after labor is approved?
|
Where all Flower guys are ?i think they have lost their hope!
|
Well I am trying on my way of calling, faxing and emailing. And waiting for the responces. And trying all the possible ways.
I called and faxed Alex Berd about this he said he would do all that he can.

I am seeing some 100 + pending cases in the forum who have dates around the 3 months period ..but just 10 + showed up for the flowers campaign .... not even bothered to send out a fax or email tooo .... THIS IS NOT A GAME SHOW .... we cannot be just watching this ... THIS IS SOME EVENT in each of our lives ... do you all guys want to take it easy on this ...

I also have called, faxed to Congresswoman Zoe multiple times. But my own or few others efforts doesnt make big sound unless every body here has put their efforts.

Subject: Atlanta Perm processing backlog
19 July 2007
Dr. Helen N. Parker Regional Administrator, Atlanta Regional Office of ETA
Respected Madam,
Greetings!
I understand and appreciate that the responsibility vested is you as Regional Director is no simple task. We applaud your service. I want to bring to your kind attention towards foreign labor application processing backlog at Atlanta PERM processing center.
Currently there is a huge backlog of PERM applications at the Atlanta PERM Processing center. I’m one of the many highly skilled immigrants whose labor application has been pending in Atlanta center for more than 100 days now. While people whose applications are processed at Chicago PERM processing center are getting approvals in a relatively shorter time frame, we at Atlanta are forced to wait for a longer period of time and is greatly affecting our personal and professional goals. As a legal, tax-paying and highly skilled member of Immigration Voice (www.immigrationvoice.org), many of our careers are stalled by this seemingly unfair long wait and have been very discouraging. The Department of State has released its monthly visa bulletin recently with all dates being current. It would make it absolutely necessary for us to be able to use this one time golden opportunity to advance to the next stage of our Green Card process. DOS has very clearly stated that they will retrogress the dates in the forthcoming visa bulletins. In this situation, it makes it even more necessary for us to get our labor applications processed so we can move ahead. But with our applications stuck with the Atlanta PERM processing centre for more than 100 days now, our personal and professional ambitions are in jeopardy.
We would greatly appreciate if you could please address this issue of backlog at Atlanta PERM processing center and do everything in your power to help us in this regard.
Again, Thank you for your time and anticipated favorable consideration in this matter.
Best Regards,
Highly Skilled Immigrant

|
Leave the renata.adjibadou's fax, email and contact numbers.
|
I spoke to my attorney now and they confirmed that, any approvals after 31st July will be not be eligible for filing I485...this is very depressing...
|
renata.adjibadou@dol.gov email Id is not the right one.
|
Looks like yours is type mistake.. you have replaced 'o' with 'a'
try this "renata.adjibodou@dol.gov"
|
shouldn't it be last name. first @ dol.gov or adjibodou.renata@dol.gov I had used this email earlier and it at least didn't come back to me.
I just tried doing a search on her email on web and found an old one that is radjibodou@doleta.gov but seems this was when she was in boston office, so not sure this still works???? at least it still says doleta.gov sent it to this email too and so far no return on email...
this is a mystery
|
'adjibodou.renata@dol.gov' has worked for me.
|
just wish there was a response or something so we knew which email was working
|
The following message to was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'#5.1.0 Address rejected renata.adjibodou@dol.gov'
I beleive the other one i sent out with last.firts@dol.gov went... lets see
