Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center
I think considering we don't see any approvals from chicago center, maybe our little campaign has at least kept things moving at Atlanta and not allowed it to totally halt. So keep it going this week.
Keep up the emails (i just sent one again), faxes, calls, flowers, etc.... i plan on 2nd flower delivery this wk.
we still have some time...
not to give up.
what if suddenly USCIS decides to even accept applications whose approval was aug 1 to 17...it's a gray area...it can be debated..do you just want to give up????
have to keep going.....god helps those who at least 'try'.

just learned that u need certified copy of perm approval to submit with i140/485. anyone know how long that takes? maybe in our email/fax this wk to atlanta we need to bring that up as well.
my hope is dying

Hi,
With out Physical labor copy, there is a way to file it.
1) If you labour approves by Aug 16th at least. Then call to DOL and ask them to send electronic copy of labor.
2) Then file for I-140 electronically, that will give you I-140 receipt( you can print it on your printer) that is needed for I-485 filing
3) Then file for I-485 immd with that receipt before August 17th
4) Then send the I-140 supporting documents like original labour with in next 7 days. normally I heared that people can wait for more than that time. ( not sure )
This is what I am planning to do, If my labor gets approval on/before August 16th.

Question - You mentioned if it get thru before aug 16, so does this mean that we are ok to go for 140 and make use of these current dates even if we pass the july 31. Coz I chked with my lawyer and he said we cannot go for it if LC dosent come thru before July 31. He said this bulliten will apply to only ppl who were eliglble for the JULY and could not file bcoz of the July 2nd Drama.
I guess that is what they specifically mentioned in the latest revised bulleten. Can you pls confirm with your Lawyer Rajeev Khanna ?

if we think logical ur priority date is always b4 jul 31,2007, so we should be eligible to go even ur approval come 16th aug if they apply logic

you will be free to change employer 6 months after filing your EAD

I am sure there are more approvals coming but ppl get busy running around for their docs for the next stages and forget to update . Also not to forget the approvals for the folks who are not registered on this track. So keep faith boys .. we should be there soon.

I think the hard work has helped. We see 5 approvals for July 20, not counting those who haven't updated/are not registered. At least we are moving and they haven't stopped processing applications.
I just wish i knew 2 things...one how long before you get hard copy of approval. two...if you get your approval in aug, then what? I wish it was clearer...
i am going to continue with whatever i can do...hard work is needed.

Did anyone get a response from Adjibodou Renata we have sent a bunch of emails but did not see a response last week - I guess they are very well aware of our problem here..but no response.

The good thing is atleast we got a response from Dr.Helen Parker.

Looks like they are well aware of the issue, but are not in a position to expedite the process any further...may be lack of resources or something like that

Question: I am currently in 6th year of my H1 Visa. I had applied for labor certification (Atlanta center) in Dec 2006. In May 2007 I got the denial and my attorney requested for review/appeal. In case if they deny it again (as per my attorney there is no chance of denial), then i need to re-apply. Since i am in 6th year of H1 and if I re-apply do I get the H1 extension? Any ideas?

sps1 - I don't have much insight knowledge to answer your question. Please try posting ur question on murthy.com forums or immigrationvoice.org forums. there are a bunch of attorneys who visit there to answer q's sometimes. you should find a sound answer there . hope this helps.

My lawyer send me this notice.
"We have been temporarily locked out of the system that allows us to check the status of applications. As soon as our access is granted, we will get back to you."
If you guys have your passwords could you check this moment for me if this is true? I am very worried that since they are so busy with all the applications they will not tell me if I got approved. They won't give me the password to check on my sttaus on my own.

I need your advice. My Labor was approved on Jul'20th. I was expecting to file I140 with I485 in a weeks. Now my employer says we'll not file I485 for you until I140 has approved. I asked why? He said, Because of the company policy.
Now I totaly upset of this answer. What do I need to do.. Can you please guide me guys...

Comp. Policy? Its an open secret that what kind of policies they have on paper and what they implement? Try to negotiate HARD in all possible ways. I heard that these companies worried about the situation. They started thininking that they may loss people if they get their GCs.
Try Hard....do not miss this chance. Good luck.

If you know the lawyer then try talking to him about the options and be ready to put some green in his slot to have it filed along. you wont need any docs from ur employer for 485 except for a letter of current employment. Or try your employers asking price or may be try with a commitment to be with him for next 1 year or so. coz not worth leaving this chance now.. Also if you are married then definately not at all worth leaving this. Not sure if we will be able to see this CURRENT dates again for the next few years. we cant really do anything legally i guess. Its totally at his will to apply for employees 485/140

hmm Desi Company .. may be they think that you will leave them after u get ut EAD ... Ask them where is it written in the Company policy ... also talk to the main owner .. and convince them .... and still doesnt work then u r screwed as such, so threathen to leave the company ... Hope something good works out for you ...

Another thing I remembered is that you can File 485 on your own. Ususally when you file I-140 you get recepit # printed on ur check image ... u can use that to file your I485. .... but I wont go ove there ... I will still insist on talking with ur Employer ... All the best buddy ...

you can also tell (threat) your comp. that you will pass on this stupid POLICY to all other people in your comp. Every one looks for a flexible employer atleast in such a critical time.
ATL perm center is better than this people.

i still don't know what happned to my delivery from ftd.com they have not given me a detailed email/tracking of my delivery though i've filed complaint. according to them, 'local florist SAYS it was delivered'. how do i know that's the truth??? word of mouth....

We can all comment at the approvals COB today... All approvals update happens usually then or next day morning ...we will know on where the ATLANTA ceneter is at by looking into those numbers ...
by the way , to comment on employers talking about policies during this testing times ..SUCKS ...
USICS & DOS have changed their policies for immigration by changing their dates etc etc to help we immigrants... if we are not benefited by this time by our employers , then no use working for him and help him make money .. Spell him very clearly that if they dont apply ur 485 this time , you will leave ... NO USE STICKING WITH HIM.

You applied early march………… what you wait for? Why don’t to push your employer/Lawyer to contact DOL. After 90 days your representative can contact.

Comeon what you guys are doing??????????? I accept gandhi geeri is good but you can't do this type of thing every where and every time. Think sensibly may be your this act will make them angry. Please think about it! This is USA not India or Pakistan. My opinion is to leave everything on God don't pressue DOL , I think its not gonna work and don't make them angry. Behave professionaly.

Pls all Send out a emails to ATLANTA center...these are the last days to pressurize them... we all know the fact that ATLANTA knows about this and they dont have any means to acheive better than wahtever they are doing now (as we see from their comments/replies to us ) ..but lets keep the pressuere for couple of more days just to see that they dont stop on any of their good work ....even 1 or 2 more applicatuions processed a day counts ... it will help some of our friends or may be ourselves ...

I strongly think raising your voice is not "un-professional". Unless until one speaks up (i mean 'TRY') even God does not help one no matter you are in in India/Pakistin/America.
