1) Pray...seriously...we need to do that too...
2) Email to different people at DOL...you will have to scroll up to see email addy's etc...some people to email...william carlson, renata adjibodou
3) call DOL, leave messages requesting they try and process things more quickly to help us make deadline
4) Some of us have been sending flowers...I sent 2x to renata...maybe to her and william carlson
5) There's another thread to email newspapers....we need everyone to do that too
6) MOST IMPORTANTLY don't loose hope....if you do that, then you won't be able to do anything to help urself..i know easier said..i fight hopelessness every day...but god helps those who help themselves....

SEND EMAILS TO
secretaryelainechao@dol.gov
pasternak.brian@dol.gov
carlson.william@dol.gov
Adjibodou.Renata@dol.gov

Use this draft or some version of this...

Dear --------,

Thank you very much for working on PERM applications in full swing.

In a press release on 07/17/2007, the USCIS has announced that it would accept the applications for Adjustment of Status (I 485) only till August 17, 2007, after which a heavy retrogression for several years is anticipated.

This is a narrow window for thousands of legal, tax paying immigrants who are counting on you for their PERM approvals and hence holding on to their hope of filing their I 485 before August 17, 2007.

I hereby request you to kindly expedite the process and help us keep our hopes and aspirations alive.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Yours sincerely

Make calls/leave messages/fax/send flowers to following

William L. Carlson, Chief, Division of
Foreign Labor Certification, Employment and Training Administration,
U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW., Room C-4318,
Washington, DC 20210, (202) 693-3010 (this is not a toll-free number).

233 Peachtree Street, Suite 410
Atlanta, Georgia 30303
Phone: (404) 893-0101
Fax: (404) 893-4642

Also take part in email campaign to newspapers....separate post on it with draft of email and email addys....

maybe also email ohlaw@ immigration-law.com (website that posted about reaching out to william carlson regarding expediting things at atlanta....we need big people behind us) maybe thank them and ask them to keep pushing the issue.

ps57002,

How about to add 'ATL' and 'C' trackers to the letter and request them to compare the process times?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by ps57002 (421) 24 Jul 2007
in the emails to newspapers or to DOL??? I wonder if emailing above links to renata esp at atlanta would backfire as in "see you are slow"...i would think it better if we send that link to email it to newspapers and to carlson...what do you think?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by spreddy (50) 24 Jul 2007
I mean tracker links
(reply) (report this)
Posted by ps57002 (421) 24 Jul 2007
yes i know you meant tracker links..

If we email tracker links to renata adjibodou..i personally feel it could backfire.. 'see you aren't doing your job...you are slow"

we could email those tracker links to newspapers and to William Carlson

do you agree???

If you do, I suggest that in email to carlson add the link. In email to renata, leave out those links, in emails to newspapers, add the tracker links...
(reply) (report this)
Posted by vdlrao (246) 24 Jul 2007
I agree with that and its a very disparity between ATL and CHI and ATL ppl r not doing their job!!
(reply) (report this)
Posted by spreddy (50) 24 Jul 2007
It is possible. I did not think in that direction. But all we are trying to explain them the injustice/impairity among the two centers.
(reply) (report this)
Posted by ps57002 (421) 24 Jul 2007
i know...its just that even though people are wrong, they do not like to be told they are wrong and pointing fingers esp at accused can backfire...

that is why email tracker links to everyone else but that person... renata adjibodou is the one in charge of atlanta center, so just don't send the tracker links to her... with her you have to use a softer tone in a sense...

3rd (known) approval for 07/24.
(reply) (report this)
Posted by pcsankar73 (138) 24 Jul 2007
I agree its 3rd approval for today , but i am not understanding y as only at ATLANTA some days are blank ... if we get consistently 3 or 4 on a day we ghave a slight chance ...but like 3 a day and 2 days no update .. is messing up the equivation... it will still make all of us short ...

let us keep urself active ... now let me include that carlson on the email i ususlaly send out everyday morning... lets give it a shot ...

Chicago - http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/chicago-perm-tracker/

Atlanata - http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/atlanta-perm-tracker/

Hi I dont see anything wrong in sending this url's.
As we are just informing that we need to take advantage of this opportunity.
All are aware that reason for slowess of Atlanta not because of they are not slow it's because of resource allocation to some other tasks.
All we can ask to reschedule the resources to work on PERM approvals and speed up the process.
Dont give up.
Have faith on God.

I prepared two screen shots one each for ATL and CHI sorted by 'Approval/Denial' dates. and I circled the 'Response Time'. I am planning to send these to screen shots after the 'text' in my emails sending to all of them. I doubt these people click on the links and do some research like sort by date/respons time and compare both ATL/CHI.

I do not have access to personal emails now. I will send them from home.

Any thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dubukku,

Good analysis. But I bet most people applied chicago even know about this forum at all? they dont need to know!!!!!!!! There comes the difference. See the average approval time bet CHI and ATL. That itself speaks.

dubukku, on the lighter side ... whatever be if its real good data or whatever , pls make sure these kind of reports dont get to anybody else ..ahhhhhhhh... there will be no use in shouting against atlanta ..if reports like the above come out ...ahhh..

also keep in mind that atlanta has 2x more members listed on it's tracker than chicago..so if you were to take a percentatge (i'm not good at statistics), i am not sure we fare better....

Here is the thing:

There are about 210 thousand+ labors approved from March 2005 to Till date.(http://www.immigration.com/newsletter1/dolsta1207.pdf)

There are about 140 thousand+ Labors at back log centers. Which will be certified by this september.

So total 350 thosand labors approved individuals.

So each individual may have atleast one dependent(wife, child or both)

So 350 *2 which comes 700 thosand 485 applications will be filed in this current window.

Out of this it would be atleast half of the indians.

But each year we have only 140 thousand visa numbers available on a whole.

So for each country 140 thousand *7% which comes like 9 ,800 visa numbers, which are for each individual country.

Guess !! Based on this how many years we, Indian Techies, need to wait for our GCs???????? if at all the visa
numbers doesnt increase or doesnt allow to use unused visa numbers.

Not to DISCOURAGE any body. But just a calculation!!! and We need a permenent solution !!!!!!

Even though the expectation is it takes long years to get GC, people who get EAD after few months from this current will be in safe side. As because EAD is as good as Green Card except that it needs to be renewed every year. So act now and help ourselves in every possible way.

my employer got the following reply............

Thank you for your e-mail to the National Processing Center concerning your case filed under the PERM program.

Case: ************* is still in process and official correspondence will be forthcoming.

Applications are processed in the order they are received. Once the Analyst reaches your case in their queue, based on the principles of FIFO (first in first out) it will be reviewed and official correspondence will be issued.

However, because each application is unique, processing times may vary depending on the specific circumstances of the case.

The policy of the U.S. DOL/ETA National Office prohibits the expediting of applications.

We apologize for the delay.

If the case was mailed in, then the employer and representative must await correspondence from this office.

To check the status of your case filed online: go to the My Applications tab, then the Search Cases tab, you can enter your case number and see the current status. You can also search by a partial number. For more details, see Page 40 of the User Guide by clicking the Online Help link at the top of the PERM web page.
