I had another question for all of you who are hoping to get their Labor Approved before Aug 17th. Have you all planned to anyway do your Medical Examination and have the documentation ready for I-140 & I-485 ? Please let me know. Thanks !

Thank you for your eMail. We are in fact very aware of this issue. We have repeatedly contacted the Department of Labor about this matter. The reason for the discrepancy is that the Atlanta PERM Processing office has additional responsibilities unrelated to the PERM cases. These additional responsibilities include labor certifications for H2B cases. These have a certain statutory deadline for processing so the PERM cases get put aside.
We do agree that this is very unfair and is not the way that the PERM cases were supposed to work. It is certainly an improvement over the old system where we had to wait for years sometimes just to get through one of two steps at the Department of Labor. However, this discrepancy is absolutely unfair.
We will continue to do what we can about this issue. We know people are even more concerned about it because of the Visa Bulletin.

another Update : i called my employer now and was told that he got 1 approval from the month of June . I am not sure what is going on in ATLANTA ... only good thing abt this is Approvals are coming but not orderly... Is this something to cheer about ?? or Just think , out of the Permutations / combinations they use to pick the application , will our application will be one of them.... ???? I am confused ...

Guys,
We have very limited active people in this forum, Instead of depending on the inactive people to send an email to the ATL Perm center and other organizations I would recommend to download an auto mail sender http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/E-mail/Mail-Utilities/Auto-Mail-Sender.shtml
and configure it to send an auto mail to all these people every day.
I know there are some limitations with this particular tool, I would research and find a better one soon.
