Please make sure all of us attend in a rally in washington D.C about increasing the green card numbers.
-----------------------------------------
Please try your best to attend this event. All you need to do is show up, and have a place to stay overnite in DC. It's important to make the numbers visible to US congress. Please forward to as many as possible.
http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11428
If you have a few years left on H1 and believe that things will get sorted out, all I can say is I thought the same in 2001 and am not done with the process yet! If you have already received your GC after a lot of hardship, attend to support others you know.
ps. All those who attend will retain their right to complain about GC, others will lose it :)

I only want to keep this forum activity... Don't be silent here....
|
Atlanta did March month starting from 06/29 till today... it took them a month to clear 1 month worth of appls... (not fully offcourse) infact they worked really good only one day in their life to clear the March pendings on 31st just to save their ZZZ... Now they are once again back to square 1 ... .. sending mails was def working ..but our intensity was not there to make a impression like 30 - 40 people ... If we start to see 3 -4 approvals a day for tommorow too , then its time to stop thiking about this ..
I am not sure they understand the criticality of the situation... whay cannot they work like Friday everyday as though there is no tommorow...its all some mechanism for ATL ctr to show that they have completed a month within the time frame by sleeping all day long and working at the last momemt ....
what it meansd is they can see of Apr by this month end (15 days after Dooms day) .. May / June by some luck some appls will go through ....

Most of the people want to get benfit from our efforts they are just sitting silent and watching the game

rutgersll ,
Which e-mail id, you want?
The e-mail I used to sent mails to all DOL guys?
|
Here is the mai that I sent.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm XXXX, working with XXXX Inc in VA. My case#: XXXXXX
My PERM was applied on April-26th in EB-2 category.
I would like to bring to your notice that it is exceeded 90 days and approval of PERM at this time would be a big advantage in my entire Green Card process.
I know that you all working hard to process both PERM and H2-B applications.
For you it may not make difference in approving PERM today or 10 days later.
But as an applicant, for me it makes difference of minimum 5 years in my life.
And also I would like to bring to your notice that, the applications in Chicago are processsed as early as one week compared to our applications in Atlanta. This puts us lot behind our career.
I beg you with utmost sincerity to approve my PERM application as early as possible (Before August-5th)
regards,
XXXX

Many people like me send 30 mails every day to the address list you gave, from different mail ids.

Heres what I can forsee. As Immigration voice has taken up the issue of increasing the visa numbers and infact even Congress Woman Zoe Lofgren has already taken up the issue, its imminent that the visa numbers would increase that in turn benifit all of us here in big way!!!!!!!!!!!! But keep our efforts of email campaign for time being for safe side and let, as many officials as possible both in government and in news channel/papers, know about this so that it will defenitely benifit us.

This is a list of users in this forum who applied PERM on/after june 19. OUT OF 68 USELESS USERS, 1 user posted 10, 1 user posted 9, rest 66 users have posted less than 3 posts and EVEN out of that, 49 users have posted 0 posts.
We just have a big crowd here who are doing absolutely nothing. How can you even think they sent emails, if they do not even participate here?
Ideally, according to the Fed Regulation DOL should respond by max of 60 days. Given that, a person who applied by june 18 would have gotten a FAIR CHANCE to file 485 by Aug 17.
We should appeal to DOL to approve application applied till Jun 18 (of course which are worth approvable) before Aug 17, so that we can benefit from this USCIS opprtunity. Or if they are working as hard as they can and they think they can not reach Jun 18 PD inspite their best efforts, then they should help us request USCIS to accept our 140/485 even beyond Aug 17 as long as the PD is before Jun 18.
It's a DOL problem that they went outside the LAW laid out by themselves and they messed up. When USCIS messed up, people stood up and it helped. If we stand up, just by USCIS precedence, it will help too.
Out of 475 people on this forum who applied 1.1.07 - 6.18.07, only 186 approved, 284 PENDING. I don't think anyone can imagine ATL doing 28.4 approvals/day for the next 10 working days.
THIS NEEDS A CAMPAIGN. THIS IS WHAT IS FAIR.
We just have to STAND TOGETHER.

Looks like we are trying to negotiate with fools in ATL cntr.. instead of asking them we will provide a solution for the,m to consider...
lets ask the ATLANTA perm ceneter to approve all the application until 60 days older by AUG 17th ... we can calculate a date and write a letter to Willimas and all over the world to approve all the applications which fall within the range ..
Update all status = certified where date < June XX . we will say/request/beg/order as per the advertised we need this to happen and make it to williams ... since we ask for everybody i beleive whoever is within that dat will join hands ... may be we get good support by that ... pls propogate this idea and we can come out witha draft by tommorow...
thats way there can be a bulk approval may be ...all thoughts welcome ..any suggestion s taken ... ultimate idea is i need my perm approval this time ....
|
as per what they say that PERMS should be approved within 45 to 60 days unless audited...so making a request that at least the ones over 60 days be approved sounds like a good idea.
I also think that people should look at the other post (regarding contacting USCIS to allow people to file without a hard copy of LC as long as it's approved in their system) and email USCiS about that too....
They should at least approve the ones over 60 days...
so it's a good aim...it's not requesting for much...it's just asking them to follow what they said they would...
|
Guys, I have just joined this forum. I will send out the email today -- quick q's (1) -- is it the rutgers (long) email OR vdlrao's (short email) that has to go. (2) How may times a day do you recommend I send it a day (from one email id only :) ) This is a battle we MUST win. Thx

As usual wasting time, found this:
Federal Register / Vol. 69, No. 247 / Monday, December 27, 2004 / Rules and Regulations
If an application has not been selected for audit, and satisfies all other reviews, the application will be certified and returned to the employer. The employer must immediately sign the application and then submit the certified application to DHS in support of an employment-based I–140 petition. We anticipate an electronically filed application not selected for audit will have a computer-generated decision within 45 to 60 days of the date the application was initially filed.
If an application is selected for audit, the employer will be notified and bla bla bla.
ref: page 4, center column, 1st paragraph.
This is very good. We should use this to point to them! Why we need wait for 90 days. Anyone have waited longer than 60 days should question them

dsikka, this is with regard to your comment on june/july filers.
As my ID says, my perm was filed on June 22. This is my 83rd post here. If you have time, can you please browse through this forum and have a look at my posts. If you still feel I'm 'useless', please let me know and I'll try to correct myself.
Thanks.

Dear Sir/Madam
I write to you in hopes that you will not only hear but understand also the CRITICAL nature of our concern regarding processing times at Atlanta Center. We simply ask that at the very least Atlanta Processing Center at DOL complete processing of PERM applications pending till end of June so that we can make the deadline set by USCIS.
USCIS has set a deadline of Aug 17 to submit applications of adjustment of status for the green card. This is an extremely important step for those who are attempting to get permanent residency based on employment. USCIS has also indicated that after this window of opportunity has passed, visa backlogs will be severe and this opportunity will not present itself again for years.
Why is being able to make this step (aug 17 deadline) important? It ends the uncertainty that those in employment based green card applicants live with. Living with uncertainty, not only in professional life, but also in personal life...this is the reality for many many people. Unless you've lived with this uncertainty, it's hard to imagine what it must be like and the problems it creates in every day life for so many. I hope you can at least 'try' and see what a life such as that would mean.
PERm applicants at Atlanta Processing Center look to you for hope because hope is very quickly, like quicksand, slipping away from us the nearer this deadline of Aug 17 comes...why you ask??? In order for so many to submit adjustment of applications to USCIS by Aug 17 deadline, we are required to have our PERM approvals (and hard copy of approval too as it stands currently with USCIS). PERM processing at Atlanta and Chicago are on different time frames it seems. At Chicago processing center, applications are approved within a week, while at Atlanta it's taking 120 days plus for many many people. When PERM process was started, DOL advertised it as a process that would take "45-60 days" to be processed unless there was an audit. However it's apparent that is not the case at Atlanta processing center. Chicago yes, Atlanta no.
What are we requesting? Please please please do all possible to at the VERY LEAST complete applications that have been pending for 60 days and till end of June (as that would be in accordance with what USCIS had orignally put forth in their original July 2 visa bulletin) to keep in line with what DOL had promised when starting the PERM process a few years back. We understand that Atlanta Processing Center has other responsibilities including processing H2B and are doing all possible to process applications for PERM. However even though a few days extra may not seem like a lot to you, it means a number of years to those who are waiting for their PERM approvals. For those people, a few extra days on Atlanta Processing Center's part will mean several years more of living in uncertainty for many many people. Please at the very least process the applications that are pending for up to end of June so those people can make the USCIS deadline of Aug 17. Also do keep in mind that as things stand, USCIS requires hard copy of PERM approval. So please we not only need processing at Atlanta to speed up, but we also need the approvals to be sent quickly. After all asking for things to speed up, Atlanta processing center doing it's part in processing but unable to send prompt approval notices, will only lead to heartaches because USCIS will not accept applications that don't have a hard copy PERM approval.
Please it is critical...and I do hope you see how critical it is....while for Atlanta center it may just be a few days extra in processing, it means YEARS of living in uncertainty for those who will not be able to benefit from this opportunity presented by USCIS. Please please we look to you to help us with this. Please keep what you promised when starting the PERM process and at least please process the applications pending up until end of June in time for us to make the Aug 17 USCIS deadline...we are counting on your support and help...
Sincerely
PERM Applicant at Atlanta Processing Center

pcsankar, ps57002, gcgc, and other active members,
Thanks for accepting that there are USELESS members in this forum and that we should not be advocating for them. Also, for considering my post. As we all accept that not everbody can get approved by Aug 17 because they just can't do it even if they work their asses off, and also because it is fair, I am ready to propose a formal compromise with DOL.
It being,
1. As per your guidelines and more importantly "Regulation", "Any and all applications WILL automatically receive a computer generated "Certification" unless selected for audit.
2. Due to recent changes in USCIS policies, which evidently is the next step for ALL FLC beneficiaries, it has become very vital that DOL follows laws and regulations laid out in the Federal Register more strictly than ever.
3. As DOL has been lax, thousands of FLC beneficiaries will not be able to file Adjustment of Status applications timely and will be victims of "high retrogression".
4. Moreover, as a PERM center is chosen just as a matter of where the employer operates, beneficiaries from other than DOL- Atlanta PERM center (Chicago) have been able to take advantage of this positive change in USCIS policies, which is ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR.
5. Therefore, we appeal to the lawmakers that this parity not be accepted and we on behalf of all beneficiaries of FLC application at DOl - Atlanta propose the following:
i) As per the law, OFLC, DOL - Atlanta make their best efforts to approve all FLC application with PD on/before June 18, 2007 by Aug 17, so more legal and tax-paying workers of this country who seek immigration benefits may do so.
ii) Given that fact that if OFLC, Atlanta worked on their normal pace and followed the regulations, there would have been a great possibility that all correctly filed FLC applications with PD before June 18, 2007 WOULD HAVE BEEN approved by Aug 17, 2007, enabling them to proceed and file necessary petitions with the USCIS. WE STRONGLY URGE that if, today, managers of OFLC, Atlanta foresee that they are not able to give such benefits to beneficiaries of FLC applications with PD on/before June 18, 2007, that they request USCIS to allow acceptance of Adjustment of Status petitions from beneficiaries of FLC with PD on/ before June 18, 07 EVEN AFTER their deadline of Aug 17, 2007.
We thank you bla bla blab .

We just have to STAND TOGETHER.

june22PERM, we all have seen you here, and we all agree. YOU are the only exception. Please sort the tabular data by 'filing date: desc' and see how many jun/jul apps posted, except you of course.

nicely composed ... only thing is THE ACTION ITEM NEEDS TO BE VERY VISIBLE AND AT FIRST POSSIBLE LINE OR PLACE ... ( Just to take care of readers to understand our motto before going ahead).
once we do that , we will fax ,email -- mark it in bold whereever requiered and send it to DOL people alll ...
we should see some thing good happening .... as we dont requiest for more ... just what is 60 days and more ....
But just for the sake of deserving friends like june22perm and some other ...i would like to say until end of June ... if we are not asking for more ..as they were along with new2perm were some crying souls from the stsrt of the day ... if not for all , atleast whoever badly wanted and tried hard to get certified ..i wish for it ...
tommorow is the day we shooot this out ... and just to give some information to people ...we have been doing this mail for as long as a month and nobody called us to say spam ..so dont think twice . Just do it...
