YOUR TAXING PAYING PEOPLE NEED YOUR HELP
CC: Mayor, DC
TO:William Carlson
Chief, OFLC, DOL
Dear Dr. Carlson,
I write to you in hopes that you will not only hear, but understand, the CRITICAL nature of our concern regarding processing times at OFLC, DOL-Atlanta. We simply ask that you complete processing of pending PERM applications for applications with pririty dates before Jun 30, 2007, so that we can make the deadline set by USCIS.
We request Dr. William Carlson to consider our plea and propose the following:
1. As per your guidelines and more importantly "Regulation", "Any and all applications WILL automatically receive a computer generated "Certification" unless selected for audit".
2. Due to recent changes in USCIS policies, which evidently is the next step for ALL FLC beneficiaries, it has become very vital that DOL follows laws and regulations laid out in the Federal Register more strictly than ever.
3. As OFLC, DOL-Atlanta has been busy doing other work, thousands of premanent FLC beneficiaries will not be able to file Adjustment of Status applications timely and will be victims of "high retrogression".
4. Moreover, as a PERM center is chosen just as a matter of where the petitioner operates, beneficiaries from other than DOL- Atlanta PERM center (Chicago) have been able to take advantage of this positive change in USCIS policies, which is ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR.
5. Therefore, we appeal to the lawmakers that this parity not be accepted and I on behalf of all beneficiaries of FLC applications at DOL-Atlanta propose the following:
i) As per the law, OFLC, DOL - Atlanta WILL make their best efforts to approve ALL FLC applications with PD on/before June 30, 2007 by Aug 17, so that more legal and tax-paying workers of this country who seek immigration benefits may do so.
ii) Given the fact that, had OFLC, DOL-Atlanta worked on their normal pace and followed the Federal Regulations, there would have been a great possibility that all correctly filed FLC applications with PD before June 30, 2007 WOULD HAVE BEEN approved by Aug 17, 2007, enabling their beneficiaries to proceed and file necessary petitions with the USCIS.
WE STRONGLY URGE that, inspite your best efforts, if, today, managers of OFLC, Atlanta foresee that they will not be able to grant such benefits to beneficiaries of FLC applications with PD on/before June 30, 2007, that they request USCIS to allow acceptance of Adjustment of Status petitions from beneficiaries of FLC with PD on/ before June 30, 2007 EVEN AFTER their deadline of Aug 17, 2007.
I hope you understand that it is critical and that while for Atlanta center it may just be a few extra hours of work, it means YEARS of living in uncertainty for those who will not be able to benefit from this opportunity presented by USCIS.
We urge Dr. William Carlson, that you keep what you promised, and complete processing of ALL pending FLC applications with priority date on/before June 30, 2007.
Thanking You in anticipation.
Sincerely ,
PERM Applicant at Atlanta Processing Center.

I finished sending emails and faxes. I think although it's good to send the general emails, how about sending individual personalized (in sense of how this affects our day to day life) also to some key individuals...hopefully that way it doesn't go to spam folder if that's where it's all headed currently...
|
ps,
i dont suggest that. you dont want ur name to be any where else other than the 9089.
Sending the same text drafted, to all high up people individually may work. I will do that tonite also. esp, carlson, cheroff, rice, chao, gonzalez and all media.

Friends,
I have a question. We have also seen the nos. on this Tracker.
I am wondering if we can estimate the no. of people who have not registered on trackitt and are tracking elsewhere or are not in any tracking system at all. Obviously 3,4 approvals a day is not all that Atlanta is approving. That is what we see here at Trackitt.
Any estimates on the total picture at Atlanta.

Please send mails to congresswoman Zoë Lofgren...i think she is the only one person who can make difference ......
|
Rakib123...I agree with u...but my case is filled in June..and my employer/Lawyer thinks it is too early to send e-mail to them.
|
My employer said he got an approval today for april filing. And yes every body better to mail Congress woman Zoe Lofgren as she is also the chair of Immigration commite.
|
rakib: I sent in the template letter to my attorney yesterday -- no response... sometimes I feel I dont even have their support -- mainly coz they fear they would lose me as soon as I will get my gc.
All: I sent it again today. I am going to have my friend send it again.

As we could see the trend,
1. Jul 31 was their dead line until March .. but they could not complete them but just managed to stage as thoiugh all applications have got over ... but doing it now slowly..
2. Aug 31 will be their deadline to Apr ..until that we will see the same half hearted typical govt office work....
When somebody can clear amazing amounts of applications on 1 day then why cant they continue the same just until the backlogs are cleared...its not a questiob of can do it or not ..they can only if they will ... they are not ready to do it ... we have strted to see the same old trend of 3 a day ...
also if they complete a month in 2 weeks, then the expectation will be more and their live will be miserable ( they can no more sit saying h2b cases for excuses )..so they wont project anything big ... infact its all computer based system and no people are required but just to verify the audit cases ... but infact they are all utilising the system by sleeping and enjoying their itme and finally one day work to clear the applications .... To back them up there is H2b cases ... so whatever we shout nobody can even question them ... they will cooly say h2b cases and just sit & have fun....
|
Just sent email to the list. Hoping today can not be just another day
|
Hey friends,
I had my approval on 31st Jul. I am waiting for the hard copy. Do you know if there is a way to apply w/o the hard copy? How long does it take? Any statistics on that? Some people say it takes 10 days.
I am wondering that if it really takes 10 days, what will happen to the folks whose labor would be certified around 8th or 9th of August? This might turn out to be an issue. I think Atlanta is speeding up. Got 10 approvals from my company yesterday.
Are you guys planning to go for the immigrationvoice rally? I strongly suggest we should all go...
Good luck to all of you.
|
But it seems like some of the email address are not correct or they don't accept email from gmail.com?
|
Hi valuable Hurdle,
You said your company had 10 approvals.
can you give us some details on PD and category EB2/EB3 on those approvals.
your input is valuable.
|
I got certified on July 27th the hard copy arrived on July 31st
|
I do not know the exact number of EB2 or EB3. However, it seems they were evenly distributed. Thx.
|
Sent emails. Most of them bounced back! Hope atleast few went through and will work.
They are dead slow again.....God Help Us All!
|
we need to get more people to post their approvals
