Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center

Any body has got any replies from plc.atlanta@dol.gov. Yesterday, Day before yesterday or today??

People, just to estimate lets collate information of people who have not registered on trackitt. This is in addition to sending emails which is a very worthy cause. I have not written here but have been using your posts to send emails myself.

If we can somehow estimate the overall position at Atlanta more accurately we will get a better picture of what will happen in the days ahead.

Any ideas.

I guess you have enough time for getting your hardcopy. Congrats and god bless you more good luck for the other stages.
Did all the 10 got approved yesterday?
Can you let us know which state your company is in?

Thanks for your help.

Yes that is what I am talking about.
We also need to estimate an overal trend for Atlanta since not everybody is registered on trackitt.

That seems to be a good idea. But I do not know anybody who has applied for PERM. I am the only one who is currently in the GC process in my company.

Just sent emails and fax, all about ask DOL making USCIS awareing this and propse to USCIS to extend the filling date. Because apparently, Atlanta can not make any progress for their low speed so far. At least they should requst that for us.

Especially for applicants of May/June/July, guys, dont lose hope, please send the requst of extending filling date to DOL, USCIS, AILA, Murthy senator Zoe, NOW. Otherwise we can not make it. Do something NOW!

see our assumptions are only if the tracker gets some 10 a day we have a chance until may end . if not they can only complete until half of April... so external news from employers are not fully true ( they will keep the hopes high by saying 10 20 a day ) ... so lets see the reality by looking in forums only ...

I agree - I guess we have already sent too many emails to get labeled as SPAM.
Simple logic, we used to at least see a routine helpdesk#11 response from them before which we don’t see anymore after carrying out this bulk email revolt Why? Some ppl got lucky in the process but that does not mean they sent more emails or DOL is reading their emails. I don’t think it’s a good idea now to clog their faxes to be branded as SPAM even there. Please keep your faxes limited and personalized through your employers/lawyers.

We saw some good response on Friday but then our folks got excited to aggravate this revolt to see more and more, and in turn our speed killed their speed again. May be we really irritated their good intentions to clear the backlog after hearing our initial pain thru various sources. Or may be they have a policy to update the statuses every Friday on the worked applications (no wonder we heard cases where some got approved and got the hard copy same day) and we got carried over too much with their speed for the first time.

Please don’t jump and bite on me if you don’t think my comments make sense. Just trying to write out what I was thinking with the same “nothing else to do” kind of time.

Not sure where we are heading by simply sending emails, nothing against anyone personally but this random set of approvals increases the anxiety and hope to see our lucky day tomorrow.

PD april 11th
Status hope

I just draft a letter to AILA, murthy, USCIS, to request the extend filing date, in case we can not get it in time. This will definately help everyone.
I wonder DOL can do this request for us, because this is a kind of shame of them, if they request USCIS do somthing becuase of their own bad, do you think? But we can send to others, if Atlanta know this, they will feel pressure too. So it will be helpful at either way.

_____________________________________________________________
Dear Sir/ Madam:

I am writing this mail to inform you a situation. Because of the couple months delay of processing at Atlanta PERM center, many applicants who should have had their labor certificate before Aug 17th, can not get it, so they can not file their adjustment of status by Aug 17th. This delay is defined by comparing with the average processing time at Chicago PERM center and also the 45-60 estimated processing time bound in DOL's regulation.
Could you please make some distribution on proposing to USCIS to extend the Aug 17th filing timeline of adjustment of status by 1 or 2 months? This will make the applicants who meet the July’s priority date, who should have had file their application of adjustment of status by Aug 17th , have chance to use the great benefit offered by USCIS.

Thanks for your attention

Sincerely, yours

If your application is over 100 days older ...then pls copy this text and paste it in a mail message and send it to DOL all emai ids ... i did that just now ... i wanted to write something simple & straight... if you are not interested in sending mails , then please stop asking on the status of what will happen to my application... i am not seeing this trend even promising for APRIL applications ... forget about May / june then ... Its all luck ... 3 a day ... ITS A SLOW DEATH...

ATLANTA PLEASE PROCESS APPLICATIONS AND HELP US OUT OF THIS !!!!

===================================

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am one of the Applicant, whose application is 100 days older and still in-process in the System.

The USICS have come out with a Cut of Date to file applications until 08/17/2007.
The next opportunity for all of us stuck in ATLANATA PERM Center may not be until another 5 yrs. Even a day after Aug 17th, if we all get approved, it will be no help for us and we will all be stuck for many years together with all our careers getting to a stale.
All our counterparts applied from Chicago center who up until the month of July are getting certified whereas all our careers are at stake because of the delay in ATLANTA center.

We do understand that Atlanta was involved with h2b cases and that was the cause of the delay. We all value your efforts to clear up the backlogs so far.

So I sincerely request you on the behalf of all the applicants, whose applicants pending for more than 100 days to get their applications processed as a First Priority.
Considering this is not a bigger ask for 100 day old applications.

Please process the 100 day older applications with first priority and help us get back our careers, which otherwise will be lost.

Thanking you ,
Best Regards,
Applicant - Atlanta Perm Center

Can somebody paste here a sample Sponsorship email which is sent by DOL after PERM is submitted online?. I am requesting same from my employer as an evidence for my PERM filing. This is the most annoying situtation that we are kept in dark about our PERM filing.

My suggestion is to stop mailing DOL...they might be busy deleting the mails rather than working on cases... but we should mail AILA, Murthy and congreewoman..so that they can put some pressure on DOL to clear cases .....

But we can still file I140/485 by Aug 17 if labor was filed before 07/31 and approved before 08/17. This is what is being said here by many gurus.. Is this correct.. Thanks.

This is sooo bad....my case has been pending since 06th March (If at all he ever applied.. Ofcourse he provided me with some fancy case no) ...My employer's response regarding my case looks very shady to me...I dont believe he's being diligent and honest about pursuing it...I don't understand the reason why he is hesitating to create an inquiry. If this thing doesn't work out I will probably get out of this company much sooner than he thinks I would if I get my EAD...As each day passes I do not have much hope on this anymore.

This group has been really tremendous and I hope your employer is not the same as mine. I wish you all good luck and wish we could be done more quickly with this ordeal....

I am also going thru similar stuff. Reason is obvious ....... employer wants this to get delayed so that he can continue to exploit us and dictate its terms on us ( vis a vis the Financial part of our employment ).

Lawyer is no better and for the first time in 110 days, he provided a written reply saying "Its in process" . I have kind of given up the hope of seeing the light before 17th Aug.

I sent emails again this morning and will keeping doing it until 17th, even though I agree that there is no big hope to shake Atlanta up. Employers are always the same. HR and lawyer both want us to get stuck long so that they can get bigger benefit out of it. Let's just hope that we can make our voice being heard by those rule makers and they would change the current crappy policies into better ones.

Please dont lose hopes guys. Look at me, my pd is 03/05/07. Hundreds have been approved but i am still hoping for any lucky moment when i would hear good news. It is funny... Most of Feb and April ones are approved except two weeks period where i filed my application. What the f********ck. what can i do... nothing.. right. exept sending millions of emails to junk folder...

Can you guys pls tell me if the employer should always get the questionere related to the applicant. If yes? when does it get to the employer just before the approvals or right after submitting the application. I know my questions might be dumb but wanted to chk with my employer on this. Any light? Some ppl also mentioned abt calls too.

If no..I assume, its a happy flow. LC be processed without any questions.. may be those big companies..

Dont lose hope guys.. keep going. this is not end of the world. My priority date is 03/05/07. Most of Feb and April are processed except those three weeks where most of the cases are pending, and i am one of them. No clue why that's not being processed. My H1b will be expired in Sep 07. This is the only hope i have. I am still hoping for positive results. I worked in U.S for nine years and if i have to go back.. i will.. what the f****. What can we do. Work hard, get U.S certifications, follow the rules.. what else....

wen a lawyer (hvng a sub-a/c) on the dol website, under the main a/c of the emplyr submits a new app, the email of the emplyr gets a questionnaire the very moment, that a new PERM app was sumitted, do u approve? pl ans the following 4 questions.. kinda email.

sometimes, randomly, the emp recevs a ph call on the ph # mention in the dol a/c info. id the emp dsnt call back, they sent the email anyway.

But, NO APP moves till the emplr confirms, one way or the other....

I think it depends on companies. If your company is in fortune 100 companies it wont take time but if you are from desi consulting company it will take time. I know one of my Pakistani friend he got his green card in 5 months (time period is from scratch to recieve card)

you know what . Now Atl wants to process appls in a clear order ... but unfortunate they started from June 1st and there on... also during the final doom's day all will fall like anything without any order ... thats what is happening...

The entire system is useless and no method in their madness...I have wasted my time tinking we will be next in the proxcess after this month...as somebody said "NOW ITS A LUCKY DRAW" ..."EQUAL OPPURTUNITY FOR ALL APPLICANTS " i thought we stressed on this point little tooooooooooo much and they are now trying to follow the same .... GOOD LUCK ALL ....

Its good time for new applications filled on July 31 st....Might be they get approved as well..
