Folks ..if you are in April and following dates , pls ask ur employer to check ur status 05, 06 , 12 ..hopefully these all might have some updates ...as we see that they are working on thiose dates ...

Atleast the luck is there on this side with you. We have to make atleast 10 calls to the emplyer before we get to hear anything on the case status .

Another one from Apr 12 ..looks like my assumption s correct ..anybody on or around today's propcessing dates pls check with ur employer for any updates to ur case.

I checked Chicago tracker and there, people who applied on 31st july also got their approvals. Dammit this is so frustrating!!!!

I guess we need ask everybody who is actively using the forum to update the case one time. This help us identify the number of cases that are really pending to some extent. I guess there are many who don't update the tracker after approval.

Friends, Please click on edit and submit again if you can. This will push others who no longer visit the forum back when sorted on last updated. Also it will give us the current strength. I have filed and got my H-1B 3 year extension based on the screenshot from the USCIS webpage without the original 1 year back.
I am almost sure that we can file 140 with the screen shot. we have atleast good 7 days eliminating Aug 17th to see if we can save ourselves from the long wait. lets workout some stats. looks like they are proceeding steady with feb,mar and april.

Case: AXXXXXXXX is still in process and official correspondence will be forthcoming.
Applications are processed in the order they are received . Once the Analyst reaches your case in their queue, based on the principles of FIFO (first in first out) it will be reviewed and official correspondence will be issued.
However, because each application is unique, processing times may vary depending on the specific circumstances of the case.
The policy of the U.S. DOL/ETA National Office prohibits the expediting of applications.
We apologize for the delay.
If the case was mailed in, then the employer and representative must await correspondence from this office

Thanks Friends for updating the tracker. I would post the remainder every 1 hour. so that anybody who browses the forum gets to update the tracker.
This way we can ask the viewer friends to take time to create an id and update the forum.

4 aprvals todaysofar , all apr. its killg me. they hv to be done with apr by this week, to start May an reach may 29 (for me) by Fri next week. their pace is painful.

Can i485 b applied online? If yes, then v can wait till 17th August for approvals.
If it has to be sent using Fedex or UPS, then fastest is overnight delivery and for it to reach on 17th, it has to be shipped max by 9pm on 16th.
So, today being almost over, v have just 8,9,10,13,14,15,16 only 7 days left.

I searched, 485 is not available for E-file but 140 is. so i guess the TIME OF DEATH is aug 17, 3- 4 PM.
By that time if you see 'certified' online', you could E-file ur 140 immediately, attach a print out of online receipt of 140 filing to filled up 485 and FedEx/UPS same day.
** Should be entered into the courier system on that day (ldeadline date : aig 17)**.; as per FAQ2 issued by USCIS.

It just talks about the date for fee... not the cutoff date. Anyways, lets keep fingers crossed and hope LC gets approved asap.

A25. Yes, the date the item is entered into the courier’s service system will be the postmark date for fee determination purposes.

They always do accept 'post mark ' date as 'date entered into courier system', when there are deadlines. i.e: "if post marked by the deadline, its fine" kida thing..
I think, just because the question there was abt fees, they answered it specifically for fees.

How are we supposed to file I140 to be eligible to file for I485 if we have employers that are very slow and unwilling to cooperate on timely basis. Do you really need too much from them? You have to know my employer... so the way I see it, for me if it doesn't happen max by this Thur p.m., no point. I already canx one vacation/trip tkt...wasted money. Now another one will get wasted again thanks to this back and forth. I wouldn't care about traveling had it not be for the needed 365 days for extension.

How does one know if one's PERM is approved ? Does the lawyer get an email or does he have to keep checking the system periodically ?

I think lawyer needs to check periodically. Atleast, I understood my lawyer checks everyday for all the cases filed by our company.

if you DO get to that point, make sure you follow:

Applicants filing a Form I-485 that does not contain a copy of an I-797 receipt notice for a previously filed Form I-140 are advised to put a brightly colored sheet of paper on top of the filing with the following notice and information: TO THE MAILROOM: The enclosed I-485 Adjustment Application(s) should be matched with a pending I-140 Immigrant Petition for which no Receipt Notice has been received. The Immigrant Petition [type, e.g., I-140] was delivered to [Service Center] on [provide date of filing and tracking number]; Petitioner's name; Beneficiary's name; Beneficiary's date of birth; Beneficiary's country of birth.

frankly, i dont think flying to NE is an option.
The only way for them to track all applications they received since 2nd july 2007 is the tracking number of courier service. If you deliver is personally, there is no way to track... (unless i m missing something)
so, no point even thinking in those lines :-(
I believe, fedex accepts next day delivery (max by 9pm)
