Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center
Posted by LuckyGreen (174) 07 Aug 2007
Hi dsikka,

There are lot of members in this forum who just visit the forum and not the tracker. Based on some of the posts I conclude that some people who visit the forum are not even aware of the tracker. Forum is easily acessible via google serach. Also there are lot people who might have entered the case and just forget about it once they get their approval( which is normal because they have lot other important things to worry about than the frustrated members of this forum). I just want to make the tracker a little bit cleaner for us rely on the information...

I respect your views and its totally up to you to decide on what you want to do...

Guys Can anyone suggest some good Desi- immigration lawyer in NJ for I-140 and i_485 concurrent application ?

Is W2 and Tax Returns a required document for I-485?

Does a dependent on H1B (derivative application) required affidavit of support from the primary applicant ?

I Would appreciate some quick response

hi,

I was out of country and landed this week...upon follow-up with my employer on my case (filed on 5/16) I was told that my case is still 'in process' at ATL DOL while he got an approval of a case filed in 6/5. He followed up with ATL DOL on my case and it seems they told him not to inquire on cases which have not passed 150 days since filing. He however followed up with attorney who has a contact in DOL to follow-up on my case and the update from DOL is that my case is assigned to a Analyst and is under processing. I trust this info as my employer is a good friend of mine. I dont know what this all but in a nut shell i am still waiting for my labor certification...

This is my 3rd labor and i am kind of vexed, annoyed and now became callous to the US immigration process. There is no point in getting frustrated and sulking thinking about it so i divert my energy to better things in life since this is not under our control and there is no uniform processing followed by DOL. Pro-actively, I had filled in all 140,485,AP,EAD and other forms and sent the documentation to my employer, just incase if the case is approved at the last minute he should be able to file the next steps ASAP. Medicals can be sent in later also. Probably everyone should keep the docs ready when they have time since this documentation takes a while to fill in.

My lawyer did not ask the W-2. But she did asked the last two pay stubs. She also asked cover-to-cover copies of all passport I have or had before. For 140, she asked reference letters from my previous employers.

stlarch, the info that your employer gave you is likely true as I filed my PERM back on Feb 27 and am still waiting for my approval. Meanwhile people who filed in March, April, May and even some in June have gotten their approval.

Jay,

I got my employer to send emails to DOL last week and I got the standard message as what others got. I'm planning to send out a fax tomorrow. Btw, the people who have been waiting for more than 90 days for their Approval, are they first applicants from the company ? I was trying to see if the trend took more time to process first time applications from a company. There was another post from somebody that these sort of applications go to the Central Department to do some additional checks. I'm actually the second from the company. But first through PERM. I'm not sure if that matters too. And mine is anyway just 54 days old.

Quick question guys.. how often DOL update their system in a day to reflect new approvals/denials... Every hour ... realtime etc.. Also after i log into my DOL account to see the status of my case, on the left panel of the screen it says" there are no alrets" what does that mean?? in relation to my case. would i have an alert there if there is any change in my status. Thanks for your help in advance...

It rained all day and night in N.E. near NY area.
Not sure if same was the case with Atlanta. If yes, these DOL employees must have chosen to take a day off due to heavy rains. :-(

they update on fridays and that is why we see more then....they are clever and have ways of showing they are doing more...i'm beginning to doubt it.

no way! that is extra work for them. They would update the status immediately after processing the application.

If the approvals are FIFO based on analyst, then I guess we should check the help desk number associated with the queries sent by the employers.

manoharc - may24th 2007 - Help desk number #14( 2 times for reply for the email sent by the lawyer)
Help desk number #11( response letting me know that the correspondence should be from the lawyer)

Mine asked for employment letters from previous employers. Anybody else in the same situation? If so, is there a maximum time between the day of the letters and the I-130/I-485 filing? Thanks.

My lawyer did not ask the W-2. But she did asked the last two pay stubs. She also asked cover-to-cover copies of all passport I have or had before. For 140, she asked reference letters from my previous employers.

Do you mind letting us know the state where your employer belongs to.?

Hey Guys

I have finally got the approval. Not sure of the actual date ( as I had to go to the Company Chief who ,after a 15 minutes meeting with all those who had been taking me for a ride, informed that he just spoke to the lawyer and he has confirmed ).

All the best to all of you and hope to see you all there in the next stages.
