hey guys ... new here.....
quick question ..is there any difference in the processing times of Eb2 vs Eb3 cases...
I see a lot of Eb2 cases being approved lately ... .mine is Eb3 and has been pending since 04/23 ...I have another confusion in that my 6 years will get over by end of the year and now since they have suspended I140 premium processing my chances are getting dim day by day ....
I absolutely need this.....

There is no descremination on the basis of catagory you applied.
I think USCIS may start I140 Premium processing in October. Let's hope for that.

just got a mail from HR and lawyer that our application shows certified online -
dont know the exact date it got approved. But hopefully we will get the original soon as lawyer says that we need that to file. I have even sent him the FAQ - but he said that that is incase of losing the original, in our case we have yet to recieve it.

bull**. I have not idea why lawyers do that. I hope you do receive ur LC in mail. If not, FORCE HIM to file 140 online by the 13th and file 485 before Aug 17, regardless of receipt of LC OR NOT.
I hope you realize that this window is not going to be open for ... who knows how long.
Also, it is always better to receivean RFE rather than notfile at all, given the F*** retrogression and frustration we all have been goin thru.....

My employer made a phone inquiry ( voice mail of course) over 2 weeks ago. They called (back) today saying "responding to your call... wanted to let u know that ur appl is i nthe "final stages of adjudication"..bla.bla... "
Has anybody been told these words??
I am thinkin of 2 things,
1. This the normal language they use while returning calls
2. My case IS actually the final stages of 'adjudication'
ANY IDEAS??

Our office filed the above case on April 23, 2007 on behalf of ********. As it is now beyond normal processing times, we are sending this inquiry. Please advise if there is anything further we can provide to help speed up the processing of this case.
Thank you for your kind assistance.
The answer is the following:
Thank you for your e-mail to the National Processing Center concerning your case filed under the PERM program.
Case: *********** was certified 8/03/2007) and the original certified 9089 was mailed to the employer’s representing attorney or agent. A copy of the final determination letter was sent to the employer’s contact, on this date as well.
If the original certification is not received within 15 days of this mailing date, please use the following instructions from our FAQ website (http://atlas.doleta.gov/foreign/faqs.asp) for requesting a Duplicate Certification.
I do not believe that they approved our PERM because of this inquiry, but they for sure will check it for us. So for those who filed late April and early May, you might ask the attonery to file an inquiry.
Also the big concern now is: there might be lots of cases approved during the following week, however, there will be few who will receive the original PERM certification, which take about a week to mail. So I would strongly suggest that we eamil USCIS to ask them if we can file without the original PERM.

My lawyer is very good in responding. But whatz the use. There is very little they can do anyways...

my workplace..HR...this woman hates me...tells me to make my own inquiry if I feel so strongly...blah blah...

I think I like atlanta more than my employer too right now...at least they responded when I inquired even if it's a standard response. For me to even get a response from HR is like pulling teeth.
I'm going to go hide in my dark hole now. Feel down, hopeless....no point to hoping.

Below is the responce got two weeks back when my employer made an enquiry. Still waiting on for the official correspondence.

Case A-XXXXXX & A-XXXXX are still in process and official correspondence will be forthcoming.
Applications are processed in the order they are received. Once the Analyst reaches your case in their queue, based on the principles of FIFO (first in first out) it will be reviewed and official correspondence will be issued.
However, because each application is unique, processing times may vary depending on the specific circumstances of the case.
We apologize for the delay.
If the case was mailed in, then the employer and representative must await correspondence from this office. If the case was filed online, status of the case may be checked online, by following the directions below.
To check the status of your case filed online: go to the My Applications tab, then the Search Cases tab, you can enter your case number and see the current status. You can also search by a partial number. For more details, see Page 40 of the User Guide by clicking the Online Help link at the top of the PERM web page.
