Topic: Whats wrong with ATL PERM Center
Everybody has the right to hope, push your employer hard.....deal them diplomatically....this not the end of the world...who knows we may get another chance soon? doesn any one know abou this development???
I think I like atlanta more than my employer too right now...at least they responded when I inquired even if it's a standard response. For me to even get a response from HR is like pulling teeth.
I'm going to go hide in my dark hole now. Feel down, hopeless....no point to hoping.

I think it's common in many work places to not 'whole heartedly' support the immigration issues...for some obvious reasons.
Don't loose hope ps...we all are pretty much in the same boat.

Thanks all - have made the calls to HR and lawyer - hopefully things will be taken care of. Till now it was the stress to get the LC approval and from now till Aug 17 - it will be stress to get the 140/485 out. All the documents from our side are already with the lawyer - we even got the medical stuff done incase. I am sure i will see you all in the next stage.
P.S - does anyone know the average number of days it is taking for the original LC to reach the lawyers office?

bull**. I have not idea why lawyers do that. I hope you do receive ur LC in mail. If not, FORCE HIM to file 140 online by the 13th and file 485 before Aug 17, regardless of receipt of LC OR NOT.
I hope you realize that this window is not going to be open for ... who knows how long.
Also, it is always better to receivean RFE rather than notfile at all, given the F*** retrogression and frustration we all have been goin thru.....

I thinks Giants (06/11) case approved not today, b coz his lawyer got original notice (hard copy) so it might approved earlier..

Thanks all for your wishes - I have made the call to HR and Lawyer to push them to get it done on time. Till now stress was to get the approval on time, now it is to get the application in on time. I am sure i will see you all in the next forum -
p.s does anyone know how long it is taking for the hard copy to get to the lawyer once it is approved online?

it may depend on many factors, 3 to 5 days to reach lawyer.

.there is a specific fax number for Perm cases : ..so far we weere all trying the first one ..so just thougfht of sending that to the second one 2 days back and did it ......

You can call. Thats what I did. They did respond to the phone number you leave on the voice mail. Let them you are the employer and enquire about your case. Leave your call back number. They may call you t'row. Try it out.

I do "get it" except my employer is very uncooperative...don't want them getting a call instead then and be like "what???"

dude ..its dying days ...never mind you calls as long as our efforts reach the proper place ... i am trying all possible things couple of days .... as its already too late and cannot wait for more ...

You need to talk to your manager and explain your situation. Don't call the HR or the lawyer everyday. I did the same to my lawyer and she stopped picking up my calls. I realized my mistake and called after 3 days, she answered properly. They have so many people like us calling them everyday the only way to avoid this is by not picking up the calls.
They don't have the answer we want. When they have the answer we want they will definitely pickup. They probably got irritated telling us the same story everyday.

would an email sent by "me" asking inquiry and saying "please let employer know status" work? Then again will my employer communicate anything to me if they get it? i don't want to complicate things in case...

i agree mano... but the thing is it will be too late to do anything by next week and waiting for Atlanta to reacty .... so better try all ur stuff before and atleast you can be happy at the end of day saying i tried my level best ... or may get certified ..who knows ...
when its a game of rolling dice ...you too got to play the same .... never miss a trick ... offcourse try all possible ways ..give ur poeple calls and let them know its very very desperate ...

JayPerm, I completely agree with you. I was just telling how we can possibly deal with them. I face the same everyday. The fact is that we need their help to file promptly even if the labor gets approved. And I totally agree that 3 days is too much a time at this point. But there is nothing we can do if they get p...d off.
Also they don't get any response from them as well. Also it doesn't make a difference if we call or they call or if you fax or they fax. The only difference is in the email.

this is disgusting.. i just saw the chicago center n bloody avg time is 10-14 days.. whats the rationale behind applications going to Atlanta and not chicago?

hi guys Im a new member.my perm was filed in april 14 and still not hearing anything from those people.so today I got the password from my employer .so I checked my application .SURPRISE .I fund out that my lawyer made a mistake in my last name .my country of citizenchip. my major. I called my employer he told me that they already changed it .but on line it doesn't look changed.plus my lawyer he's such a stupid guy .he never answer my calls .he wait like almost ayear to file my perm .and when I asked him why he's doing that he told me that he's not my sleeve .so he 'll do where ever he wana do . so if I called him now I m sure I m gona fight with him .I m losing my mind .I don't know what to do .please guys advice.
