Yeah yesterday even i got a call from Atlanta.. Unfortunately, I couldn't receive it and they left a voice message asking to call back at the same help desk number. I believe, they had called just to tell me that they cannot give the status of LC to me.

Thanks everyone who was active here. Even though I am one of those who could not make it, I'm happy for those who could and I'm satisfied that I did whatever I could.

No one expected the bulletin to become current till June 12, 2007. Who knows, may be there might be another miracle sometime soon to help us all :) For those who could file their 485 by today, my best wishes for further stages...

Everyone of you, please make it a point to support and participate in the rally at DC on Sep 18th (organized by immigration voice). That is our only hope now, since a law change is what can bring relief to all of us.

More details can be found at www.immigrationvoice.org

It seems that time is running out for sure.
My prayers are with you. Do not hesitate to jump on a plane and file your case tomorrow in Nebraska or wherever and do the needful.
For those who could not make it I have to say: don't give up! You will never know when the freaking USCIS will open the doors again or US congressmen realizes that the picture must be changed for the good of this country.
God bless you all.

just got a call from employer that it was approved ... what use with this other than just to wait for some years ... I wrote a mail to DOL as below during the Aug 2nd week , which reads as follows : Irony it just got approved a day later .....

"The USICS have come out with a Cut of Date to file applications until 08/17/2007.
The next opportunity for all of us stuck in ATLANATA PERM Center may not be until another 5 yrs. Even a day after Aug 17th, if we all get approved, it will be no help for us and we will all be stuck for many years together with all our careers getting to a stale.

We do understand that Atlanta was involved with h2b cases and that was the cause of the delay. We all value your efforts to clear up the backlogs so far.
So I sincerely request you to please process the 100 day older applications with first priority and help us get back our careers, which otherwise will be lost.

"

hi ps57002,

I havent been kidding. When its been said my application is in final review, thats on Monday, Aug 13th, Then I have sent 3 mails a day saying that I may miss this Jul,I-485 bus miserably in about 1 or 2 days gap if its not approved on or before Aug 16th, and requesting them to escalate it as its already been in the final review. Then I came to know that they will put it hold for couple of weeks due to the too many enquiries that I have done. Otherwise I might have catched this I-485 bus. Dont know.

I'm sorry to hear that. That's absolutely ridiculous. are they allowed to do that with someones life?
On a similar note, while I was talking with my attorney, I've asked him to send an e-mail to DOL inquiring about my case.
He said, as much as he wanted to do that, from his personal experience, "the enquiries will only cause the DOL to push the file further down".

I didn't really buy that at that time. Now I do.

Any way that game is over. Now we better to concentrate on D.C rally. If any thing changes due to that we all get great benifit. See the waiting times 3 - 7 years and every year 1 year waiting period adds up as because there are 9,800 visas available in each category/year/country and the demand is more than double every year.

I heard that over 300K application were received by USCIS in past 6 weeks. Most of the applicants must be from retrogressed countries like India and China becuase world wide other applicants were having their P.D current before.
Out of above mentioned 300K applicanta atleast 150K should be from India. For India only 9800 visas are available per year.
Now everybody can count how long it will take to get their turn. SO PLEASE EVERYBODY SHOULD JOIN DC RALLY.

It hardly matters 200 or 300...it's still 10+ years retrogression.

Yesterday I have attended the Immigartion Voice meeting held up in D.C for Local (D.C, Mary Land and Virginia) immigrants
for the sept 18th preperations. I talked to some of them there and they said that the rally needs to show up atleast 10 thousand immigrants. And 30 buses are being arranged from NJ(sponsered by Immigration Voice) and they said that they could arrange the buses for free from NJ, NY, CT, Boston or at the drivable distance to D.C if there are atleast 30 people. It seems for me they are doing it very planningly and all they requesting us to show up there in the rally. And they said they wanted the law makers to take a decission to use 230 thousand unused visa numbers so far + 140 thousand new visa numbers that come up from october. So the total of about 370 thousand visa numbers availble, after it works out, which reliefs the green card seekers for next couple of years. If it works then this would be the first thing.
