Topic: Call/Fax/Email information for ATLANTA
Guys,
We need to stop discussions on how long it is taking these guys to process applications and give this a new direction. Lets start this with everyone posting new contact information for important people in the government & immigration organization that can be overwhelmed with our desperate situation. This will hopefully put some pressure on the senior officers at perm. Lets try & get names/email/contact info for people we can contact. Good Luck
This is what i have so far
I just left a message for a lady at 202-693-3010, told her that I was a part of a large forum and that we all are extremely concerned about the pace of the Atlanta center. I asked her to call me back to let me know if she has any timelines or updates on how these cases are being processed. I would reccomend EVERYONE to call this number and ask for someone whom you can talk to about the Atlanta Perm center & leave voice mails with your case #. Also please mention that you are a part of a large forum where hunderes and thousands of us are concerned with the pace of the Atlanta Center.
If I or anyone else hears back, please post ASAP.
Thanks!

Good News,
I just got a call back from Miss Corey/Lori (not sure what her precise name is). She informed me that the Atlanta Center is currently working full speed on PERM cases & is looking to catch up soon. She also gave me these 2 numbers for the helpline. I pressed her for more information on the officer incharge or someone else incharge but she would not give me any more information. If someone else gets through to her, please push for more numbers or contact name
404-893-2021
404-893-2022
Please post whatever you find out. Good Luck!
Thanks!

Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to bring to attention one issue that has never been looked into or addressed. This is related to labor certification process at the Atlanta PERM Processing Center. While lot of attention has been paid towards illegal immigration, no news channel or program has investigated the pains and frustration people have to go through while trying for employment based immigration. Currently there are 1000's of PERM applications pending at Atlanta PERM Processing Center, some dating as far as early part of 2006. There are people waiting for their labor applications (First stage towards attaining permanent residence) to be approved for more than a year.
Department of Labor (DOL) established PERM National Processing Centers for faster approval of labor applications last year but that seems to make the matters worse. While the Chicago Processing center seems to be processing applications in a timebound manner, the Atlanta center has followed its predecessor BEC's in processing applications. PERM Centers were established to process applications in 90 days, but there are 1000's of cases that have been pending for more than 6 months now. There is no visibility into the process, it is slow and makes life tough people who are here on an H1 or other work visas.
As a legal, tax-paying and productive members of society, many careers are stalled by this seemingly never ending unfair wait in the American legal immigration system and is very discouraging and possibly detrimental to the interest of the American global economy in the 21st century.
The DOS having released their monthly visa bulletin recently with all dates being current. It would make it absolutely necessary for us to be able to use this one time opportunity to submit the next stages of our immigration process. DOS has very clearly stated that they will retrogress the dates in the forthcoming visa bulletins. In this situation, it makes it even more necessary for us to be able to submit our applications. But we are all stuck in this black hole called the Atlanta PERM Processing Center.
I this regard, I would be very grateful if this issue can be addressed quickly. I would appreciate if you can request the Atlanta PERM processing center to start processing our labor applications in a timebound manner and also dedicate additional personnel to clear the backlogs. This would be of immense help to legal, tax-paying and law abiding members like us. Atleast then we will not be caught in a never ending cycle of waiting and uncertainty for us & our family members. Your prompt action would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

404-893-2021 does not work
404-893-2022 works, but nobody answer the phone and no voice machine
anyways, thank you.

so good. Highly appreciated!
|
ok so I even emailed Elaine Chao and kind of used the format posted above
|
use 404-893-0101
You will hear a welcome message and give you 4 menu options
press "4" - questions on Permanent Cases
press "5" - questions on Temporary Cases
press "0" - operator
press "9" - hear menu options again
I chose "0" and a lady answered my call. She transferred my call to the helpdesk which then went to voicemail.
You are asked to leave your details and contact info (phone or email). Heard something interesting in their VM greeting,
"Due to large volume of calls, response time is increased from 2 days to 3 days"

Atlanta fax center will email you like this way:Thank you for your correspondence to the Atlanta National Processing Center concerning your case filed under the PERM program. Our office can only respond to inquiries from the employer's contact person or attorney/agent listed on the submitted 9089 form.
They will not care what your wrote in the letter.

OK I found the number for William Carlson, He is the Administrator, Office of Foreign Labor Certifications The number is (202) 693-3010. The lady who answers the call is not very willing to transfer to Bills line or give out his email address she transferred me to Miss Corey & I told her that all I got from Miss Crey/Lori were a help center number that no one answers. I told her I need to speak to someone who can help. I informed her that I am a part of large community online of individuals who have cases pending at the Atlanta Center for a while. She transferred me to the voice mail of Catherine Harris, (not sure what her title is. If anyone knows please let me know) I left her a similar voicemail with my name, case # & contact information. I STRONGLY suggest EVERYONE to start calling her now & leave voicemails with your name, contact number & case # & wait & watch what happenes. Please reply after you leave a message so that we can track how many calls went through.

Does anyone know what can I do to get a original Labor Certification approval on a PERM? They mailed me one in NOv 2006. I filed I-140 with USCIS. Now USCIS is telling me that they do not have it! Looks like they missplaced my application....Well, they do not want to take a copy, want the original? Help!
