Topic: How to lead a effective inquiry to Atlanta Center?
Folks, from my experience with Atlanata center, you could get some information if you use proper email inquiries. But remember you have to use the correct email address: plc.atlanta@dol.gov
I sent in an inquiry for the updates on my case. They replied quickly saying that they can only respond to inquiry from employer. I forwarded their email to my employer, and employer alledgedly made inquiry to plc.atlanta@dol.gov. After several days, I did not get response from employer. I asked them. They told me no response. I sent another email to plc.atlanta@dol.gov. They told me that they replied the employer on the same day of employer inquiry. It seems that the employer is lying. Then the plc.atlanta@dol.gov advised me more about what is going on with my case. Do you hate working for a stupid employer?

What is the max time it takes for approval.2 of my friends applied for labor in chicago center got approved in 3 weeks.
Can i contact DOL directly to know the status

got to be sincere with them... telling them that your case has been with them for a long time (exact number of days, etc), don't be afraid to include your case number in the subject of your email. you will make them touched.

it is approximately 3 months from the information on this track site. Atl is different from Chicago. Yes, you can try to contact them. use this address: PLC.Atlanta@dol.gov
The following is from DOL website FAQs:
1. Where I can email my questions?
o There are three locations where you may send your questions, depending upon the type of question asked.
If you have a technical question (for example, if you forgot your password), then please email those questions to plc.help@dol.gov.
If you have a program specific question (for example, if you have a question concerning the content of an advertisement) or a policy question, then please email your questions to one of the appropriate National Processing Centers at PLC.Chicago@dol.gov (for the Chicago National Processing Center) or PLC.Atlanta@dol.gov (for the Atlanta National Processing Center). The appropriate National Processing Center depends upon the state in which you are located.
Please note: Questions should no longer be e-mailed to perm.dflc@dol.gov.

I tried, nothing helps.
Any better suggestions?
My case has been pending since 3/7/2007. It has been 149 days (48 days more than the average)!
My 1st RIR labor certificate submitted on 9/30/2002 was approved on 12/8/2006. It took 4 years and 3 months.
