how long does it take to get Hard Copy of labor Approval from Atlanta?

They ususally send it out the very same day via a regular mail. So, it might come in as early as 3 days from the date of approval or a max of 1 week.

Is this from personal experience or just your theory ?? I hope you are talking about Atlanta...

No lawyer was involved. Everything was done by employer. LC was sent to employer.

Hey friends,
I had my approval on 31st Jul. I am waiting for the hard copy. Do you know if there is a way to apply w/o the hard copy? How long does it take? Any statistics on that? Some people say it takes 10 days.
I am wondering that if it really takes 10 days, what will happen to the folks whose labor would be certified around 8th or 9th of August? This might turn out to be an issue.
Are you guys planning to go for the immigrationvoice rally? I strongly suggest we should all go...

I called my lawyer. He said that the Hard copy should come to him. If the hard copy does not come through, he will present it by downloading online petition which has been stamped as 'certified'.
Just curious, do you have a birth certifiate. For me I just have affidavit of my parents. I was born in Midnapore West Bengal. The municipality would not supply me Non-Avali. Cert.

you can collect birth certificate from indian embassy by showing your passport and legal status.

Do we need to file original PERM approval letter that we get from Atlanta Perm Center with I-140/I-485 or a copy of the original PERM approval letter is good?

Gr88 to know that you got the hard copy. You said you got it on 08/04. Just curious, since it was Saturday (08/04), I donot think you could check it from your lawyer. Did the hard copy come to your home address / office address? Does the hard copy also go to the employer too?

Hi rakib, which state are you in? You were certified on 7/31 and the hard copy reached you on 8/4 from Atlanta via your lawyer. I consider this a pretty fast turn around. Please let us know your state if you don't mind. Thanks!

My approval was 7/31. Got the hard copy today 8/6. I recommend you guys to tell your lawyers that you will pick up the copy and take it to the employer for signature in person. Otherwise it might take a long time through the mail.

Well, accd to USCIS FAQ# 3, they will accept a duplicate if the original is lost.
I guess DOL can't even mail approval notices correctly leave alone processing LCs in a timely manner!

Just heard from the attorneys - they rec'd hardcopy of approval today.

A10. No.
Priority date according to USCIS is the date when I-140 is received by them.
We lost it guys... I confirmed this with my lawyer too... Your Labor must have been approved by 31st July and then E-file 140 same day !!
Can this we confirmed ? I googled it and everywhere I am hearing the same thing... Somebody pls confirm...

I 140/485 is filed by EB1/EB2/EB3.
EB1 don't need to do LC/PERM and so for them PD depends solely on i140. So for them if they file I140 after Aug 1, then they are not eligible
For EB2/EB3 which needs PERM/LC, PD is when your LC is submitted, not approval date. If you submitted PERM July 31 or before and get approval before Aug 17, you are ok, qualify and should apply for I140/485 by Aug 17, making sure USCIS receives your applications on Aug 17, not Aug 18.
