Topic: Typo in Last name on Labor application form
Posted by Jay123 (2) 14 Apr 2008
Hi,
My labor was filed in Oct 2007 and last week I got an audit. My employer sent me the audit request docs. I noticed that there was a typo in my Last name. My question is How can it be corrected?
Can it be corrected before it gets approved or I have to wait till it gets approved?
What would be the right approach?

Any advise will be appreciated

It can not be changed. Your lawyer can correct it for you during the I-140 application.

Thanks much wyc453s for the reply. Yesterday, lawyer sent a letter to DOL to correct it but I am not sure it gets corrected.
Will it not be a problem later on in GC process? Does anyone have this happened? Can you share how it has been corrected?

Thanks in advance
