Topic: Can a two years diploma from Uk with 14 yrs of education ll gain points

Hi, I ve done my HNC from UK in ceramics technology after doing my secondary school certificate from my home country.So my educational qualification ll be Two years HNC alongwith 14 years completed full time education.Am i going to get 20 points for my education or not.Plz help

You get 20 points, if your qualification lies in one of these:

1. Obtained a two-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies

2. Obtained a university degree of two years or more at the bachelor’s level and completed at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies

This is what listed in Canada immigration site. If your certificate doesnot fit into this criteria, ensure that you have still cut off points (67), inclusing whatever points you eligible in education.
