I am currently in the US and my green card application is in the process of being denied. Meanwhile I have been in touch with a few canadian companies and they want me to come to canada for interviews.
My question is should i apply showing the intent to simply visit canada or actually on the basis of the interview invitation letters from the those companies and let them know my intent to work in canada.
any input will be appreciated

Coldplay,
This is a tricky one. I would suggest to discuss with companies and go for a phone interview. This should not be a concern for any company. However if you visit to Canada, for tourism, and then appear for interview - this may actually hamper your option, if found at a later stage.
These are really very sensitive decisions and one should not make any mistake :)

I already had two phone interviews with two compnaies and they want me to come to canada for a face-face interview. Both are multinational pharma companies with head officess in the US but that will not work. I will have to go to canada for face-to face interviews and the compnaies will write letters for me
So I should feel comfortable applying the visa based on that documentation?

coldplay: Just apply for a CAD V1 visa, attnd interview in Canada, & come back. When Cad Visa officer or Cad Border Agent asks u y do u come to Canada, tell them tourism! After u get job, the CAD Emplyr will apply 4 a work_permit thro HRDC, its valid for 1 yr only. At the same time, u shud app for ur Fed Sk Wrkr CAD-PR at Buffalo! Or try for a Provincial PR during ur stay in Canada on work permit. Play it safe!

what cnstudd said seems to be very safe and practical..and I heard that the canadian border agents are very nice most of the times..
you have two I-140 with EB1 and EB2 categories..what is your profession and education level..
Also applying for Canadian PPR is not a bad idea..its easy and quick when compared to GC ..
good luck
