You dont need to sell your assets, you may go to your local tax office and ask for a certificate of the estimated value of your house and give it to the embassy when they ask it.Or ask an expert to make an evaluation of your house and give you a copy.
usualy the embassy ask this prouf of funds before they are ready to assess your applicatio, but for more info go to this site
www.cic.gc.ca
You will find all the info there
Success!

Personal Net Worth Statement document should be submitted. Such as Bank Deposits History / Term or Fixed Deposit copies / Property ( Land and Building ) even purchased receipt will do / Mutual fund copies / Company Stockes/ Shares . All these should be Notarised Copy LESS any liabilities ( Mortgage / Personal Loans ) . In Distribution you must mention Funds accompaning while travelling to Canada and Funds to be transferred to Canada at later date. A minimum FUND required for example of 2 adults and a child should be over CAD 15,563.

Thanks a lot to Daniel and Pruthijit. This is the first time I ask for advice using this way and I very grateful and amazed at the same time. If you believe in God, then God bless you...
