Topic: Can an offer of admission in a University expedite the PR process?
Posted by smr123 (20) 28 May 2008
My PR application is in process at CIC - London office. I sent update documents recently in response to 90 days notice and waiting for IA. Meanwhile, my son got an offer of admission from a Canadian University. Does any one have any idea or advice, if I write to CIC about the admission offer, can the PR process be expedited. I heard a job offer usually expedites the PR process. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Offer for study purpose is not going to expedite the process. Only a job offer can help there:)

Thanks for your reply. Further in this regard, is there any harm if I request them to process faster as my son has an offer of admission in a Canadian University. Do you think my PR process may get delayed by such request. If there is no harm then I think I can put forward my request and see, if it expedites, it is OK. What do you think. Any suggestions in this regard are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
