I just got my IA and they are asking for my tax returns 2006 and 2007. why? did anyone else get asked this? was I already meant to send it intially? thanks.

Not sure abt Tax returns but in US sometimes they ask for W2 statements (your earning for the year).

May be they are trying to verify your income / job details.

yes they have asked my personal tax returns in US, since i am here for more than three years.

Thanks guys. I am going to mail everything - tax returns, w2s and t4s plus notice of assessment from Canada revenue agency - that way im covered. Of course am sending photocopies.

we probably would have been asked but we had sent all of them anyway in our initial application. Exactly as they mention, they ask for verification of employment.

yes, I had already sent offer letter from work/etc etc but anyway, everything was sent on Monday and also medical done so its back to the waiting game now........

I was asked for tax returns from the last 6 years!
I think it's just part of the normal processing.
