Has your online status changed to 'Medicals received'?. I am in similar situation. My medicals were done in Kuwait on 8-June-2008 and waiting for PPR. My medical reports were delivered to CIC on June 12, but still there is no change in status.

Do anybody know how long it will take from UAE for immigration to Canada. I have filed my cae in Sep 06 and got the file number in Feb 06. Till now my status is "In Progress". Can anyone give any idea how long it will take....

It is a letetr sent to you where you are supposed to send updated documents like new photos , new police certificates, new bank account statement and the PR fees.

Did you receive any interview waiver information? I received my medicals and completed on June 08, 2008, but I did not receive any information about interview waiver. Thanks for sharing the information. |

I guess once u recieve ur medicals this indicates interview waiver, no official letter though.

Hello everyone... you can read my timeline below... the status of my application has read 'In Progress' ever since we updated our application in Mar/2007...
FSW Application sent June 2005 - 90 Days update letter Mar/07 - Medicals, RPRF and one more police report requested Nov/07 - Medicals and RPRF sent Dec/07 - Last police report sent Jun 23, 2008
Now just waiting to see what's next...
Let's hope we all get our PRs really soon... I am getting more and more impatient each day!

Each day, I check my post box and CIC website two times daily. Do not you think, it is time to write to CIC London, that the medicals are done in early June 2008, but there is no any infromation about what is happening?

Doc sent 6th May 2008
Still waiting to hear from CHC London...
Could you please guide me when this wait is going to finsh....

Prasant,
They might have posted Medical Papers to you on 22-JULY-2008 as that marks completion of your 3 months response time. It usually takes 15 days after they post, to receive their letter in Kuwait. So, good luck.

Well , I don't know what to tell you , but as I have noticed from several sites
the London office guys seem to have stopped working for now either because of the new law or because of the summer vacation.
Any way I pray for all of us waiting to hear good news , to get these soon quickly and with no delay.

I know atleast 3 more people in Kuwait, who have received medical papers and done their medicals after me. So, I think London Office is working, Hope for the best and the earliest.

CHC is definitely working... people at the British Expats Forum are getting PPRs right and left in the last few days....
I came here to check if any of you guys were gettting them too...
Let's hope and pray that we all get some kind of good news from CHC before the summer is over!

I think you people are lucky coz you are near to finish the race. I have subimtted my case on Sep 06, got the file number in Feb 07 and till now no update. Wait is very tough and frustating.

I have also submitted my file as FSW with AEO on 11 june 08 in New Delhi office. My medical has been done on 1st July 08. Now I am waiting for fortune to knock at my door. I daily log in the CIC website . but it shows the monotonous message IN Process. We all are the passengers on a same boat. Look when the wind blows & bring us to the other shore. Hope it will happen soon. Because Delay is better than deny. Best of luck to all of the passengers( Collegaues)

As me and my husband work here in the UAE , but it is not home and u can see what is happening to my home country
so quite eager to look for a place to feel secure in and provide better education and future for the kids.

Could anybody in this forum please tell me how to Obtain PCC from Saudia Arabia from Dubai.
I was working in Saudi Arabia 5 years back and at present in Dubai. I got a letter from the CHC asking for PCC from Saudi Arabia and when I approcahed Saudi Counslate, they said they dont issue such certificate.

Check the embassy in Abu Dhabi I don't think counslates do the job only the Emassies
or take a plane and go to Saudia dear

Hello, when you moved out from Saudi Arabia ..did you inform CIC? It seemed to me you did not; that's the reason CIC wanted updated info. Write an explanation to CIC why could not you submit a new one and I am sure CIC knows about that.

Ciao, CIC London NEVER change the E-cas ..I sent my passport for PR visa and still E-cas says In Process. So, don't waste your time on E-CAS.

Your waiting period is over since you submitted med in Dec 2007. It says wait 90 days/120days on that Med request letter. I sent twice enquiry once in April 2008( reply BG check outstanding) and July 9,2008 ...got reply BG check is going on ..we will send you a request to submit your passport when it's over. Funny thing the PPR I got 23 of July but that letter date was 12 of July. Remember you are not a criminal ...so there is nothing to afraid..you can send an enquiry you are a customer for them. Good luck
My time line May 2005, updated infor req. Jan 2007, More updated info SEpt. 2007, October PCC request and Med req, Med done 29 OCT. 2007 and PPR received July 23,2008.

Dear Tansarut... thank you so much for your reply... I think I am going to write to them... the thing is that it took me a long time to provide CIC with a police report from my husbands native country... we had to go thru hell to get it (it's a long story)...
If you read my timeline you can see that I sent my medicals in Dec but it wasn't until June 23rd that I sent them the last piece of paper they asked me to send ... I wrote to them while I was waiting for the police report to be processed to keep them informed of the status of it... they told me they were going to wait for the report to be ready (I was afraid they were going to close my file because it took me so long) ... so since they were so nice and waited for me to send this paper over to them... now I feel I should do the same... I should just let them finish whenever they finish... but...
I was really hoping to be able to get an answer before the end of the summer... perhaps even move to Canada before the beginning of the school year... that is why I am tempted to ask about the status of my application...
I requested my CAIPS notes for the same reasons... I want to have an idea about the outcome of my application... but I haven't received them yet... perhaps it will take another week or so... I was thinking to wait until I get my CAIPS, see what's on there and then if everything looks okay, I will write to CIC requesting an update on my application...
I know I am just being paranoid... I am sorry for being raving and ranting at this point... I want a positive outcome so badly!

Ciao, I missed that info 23 june..anyway, I am sure they are doing the security check and you will have a result before October 2008. Make sure your passports are valid at least 2 years. When CIC ask your passport to give the PR visa..it has to be at least 1 year valid..otherwise you PR visa will valid until your passport validation. And 2 copies of photograph for each applicant. Good luck and hope you will get your visa before October.

hahaha, okay... I decided to wait for my CAIPS and to give it more time before I email CIC... anyways... I am saying to myself 'no news are good news' or at least I hope...
I've never been to Finland... but I've heard that people there are pretty cold and not very friendly... hopefully you will meet plenty of friendly people in Canada!
