Topic: What happens now?
Posted by baroda123 (64) 20 Jun 2008
Hi,
I have been asked to submit my passport for Visa Stamping @ New York office. I got the notice letter on 5th March and I had to do it in 60 days. It's been more than 100 days now. So what happens now? Is any one on the same Boat?

If I go for staming next week sometime, Will they accept my passport?

Thanks In Advance !!

Are you saying that u missed the 60 days deadline?? Usually they mention a date before which the passport should reach. I am not sure whether they will accept now but really surprised how u missed?

Yes I did miss the date. They say passport has to be valid for 1 year when we send it for stamping. So I had to renew the passport and some other reason I basically I missed the date..

So whats next? Any idea, suggestion..

well, I think you need to contact the immigration office explain your situation and submit your new passport with a copy of the old one at once.

Good luck, guy.
