Topic: INFORMATION /transfert to DETROIT

since august 2007 i had filed my application to buffalo in december they sent me a letter with a # B.... i sent my application complete exemple funds letter, background check (FBI), letter from my employer etc...

but i did medical exam received in february 2008 in april 2008 they sent me a letter telling like my file has been transfer to detroit for processing but i m still waiting.

now can somebody help me to understand what going on????
my first language is french but i did the ielts score band 5.5 its that a problem??

i filed for me and my family thats mean husband and 3 kids i would like to know how long its take to be done completely

Normally one needs to wait for atleast 3 months after medicals. This is the duration when they do a background check and any other "unknown" formalities. If you have waited for that long, I suggest to order CAIPS notes. You can find information abt how to get these from internet.

Transferring to a local office is just to offload Buffalo consulate. Dont u worry, most of the ppl are in same boat once medicals are done :)
