Topic: Points for Bach. of Engineering (India)
Posted by PRAspirant (10) 24 Jun 2008
Friends,

Does anyone know how many points are awarded for Bach. of Engineering Degree from India, which is a 4 years full-time engineering degree. The point system given in CIC site is confusing and it can either be interpreted in 2 ways:

1. 20 points (A university degree of two years or more at the Bachelor’s level, and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study)
2. 22 points (A three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study)

So I am not sure how does CIC interpret Indian Engg degree and it will be good to know, how many points any of you have got for the same.

hi

3 year diploma (from india) gives you 22, whereas 4 year(B.tech, india) gives you 20 points

in canada, technical education is imparted by Diplomas, known as trade certificates.... hence points are more for diplomas...
