I got the PR visa stamp in October 2007 and before I know it, I got a call from Buffalo Consulate asking for my passport back because of some "computer error". They stamped a 'Cancelled Without Prejudice" stamp and mailed me back the passport. When my lawyer inquired about this never-heard-of occurrence, they replied they prematurely stamped the visa and they're currently consulting other government agencies. Can anybody guess what these government agencies are? Just being curious!

How long it took them from the time you got your visa satmped to the time they re requested the passport?

Did they request the passport after you have landed already?

browny,

sorry about that. This sounds like a gross miscommunication between Canadian Immig & Canadian Secret Service. Same thing happened to my friend from Lebanon, his Immi visa was not issued, when he sent his passport for PPR.

if it makes u feel better, I had to wait for 9 months after medicals to get PPR.

So hang in there, for a few weeks/ months, u shud get +ve news....
