i got PR for Canada and i have to land by Aug 1st of 2009 i am working in CT USA.
while applying for PR i mentioned the address of my close relative who lives in Vancour Canada.
Is it manadatory to land in the place mentioned ? or can i got to Toronto ?

How is it you have until Aug 1 2009 to land? I thought you only have a year from your medical date, which I am assuming was before July 2008. So how did they gave you longer than a year to land?

When did u get the visa-stamp and the landing papers, i got those last week and they gave me till 18th aug to land. Its too less almost 1 month only. I have requested them for some extra time so i can find a job, i dont want to go there without a job. The economy is in a bad shape.

i got them in nov 2007 but due to some personal reason i could not complete landing formalites
Now it is less than one month left i want to go and come back in 2 days
it is hard for me to go to vanacour i want to go to toronto driving
Did they give u some time extra time when u requested?

if they give me extra time then its fine or else i need to go for landing, i am also planning to drive to toronto will be driving from nj, if u are driving from the tristate area let me know
