You applied for Temporary or Permanent residence? do you have a valid canadain work permit? from which embassy you have applied.

These are the fators which will determine your time frame.

By the way, all applicants who receive AOR, will have "IN PROGRESS" status, untill,

1) You have submitted your medicals. - Status changes to "MEDICALS RECEIVED"
2) Your applicantion was rejected - Status changes to " DECISION MADE".

AOR and file no are the same thing.Actually you receive a letter after submitting your application, that is AOR and a number on the top of the paper like b12345678 is the file number.

Hi All,

I would like to know in which process Delhi, India office is accepting the files for Skilled worker category. ( Regular or Simplified ). I am in Canada on a temporary work permit at the moment and have heard that cic is simplifying the process all over the world and there are few skills which are in demand in Canada for which they are going to open priority processing soon.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

If you are referring to the new immigration regulations, the information is not out yet. It is suppose to be available sometime in October (hopefully).

If you are referring to something else, please clarify.

I think Delhi is accepting only Simplified Apps, but do confirm on CHC Delhi site.

I checked the link and when I saw the VISA specific office instructions for New Delhi, India, there is one check list which is of regular process and was last updated in Aug 08. Please help.

so does that mean, they are accepting in regular process because if they have to make a decision in 6-12 months time, they need all the docs at the first go which is regular process.

Thanks

If you want an answer you have to learn to ask the question properly in the first place.

When you say, you checked the link, which link are you refereeing to, or do you expect us to be able to read your mind? If you are referring to the link I provided in my last post, it specifically says that all visa offices other than US is accepting simplified version. Unless you are applying with arranged employment or provincial selection. So where is the confusion?

If you are referring to another link, would it be too painful for you to provide the link that we can look at and answer your question?

If you want an answer, provide ALL the details or you will never get an answer.

I believe nobody has received anything except for the "Provisional" AOR. I guess they are waiting for the instructions from the Minister. Weren't they supposed to be released in September? The wait is killing me... : (
