where did you file your application? once in a while, AOR response take much longer. hang on there, it should arrive shortly. the more you wait on it, the more you get frustrated.

immigration is a long process and most of the time, it's not in your control so be patience.

Thanks for the reply'
filed the application at London, we already Know about frustration Royal mail lost mislaid our first application and it took them 12 weeks to return it , only for us to start all over again!
I do understand though what you are saying about being patient and thats its not in our control but seriously where else in the world would you hand over that sort of money without some sort of receipt.

Thanks once again for the reply.

In US, there is option to send the mail with express and confirmed delivery. I always used the same - no matter whether I am sending my whole application or just one page document. I just wanted to be sure that my documents are reaching safely and I readily paid extra $$$ for the same.
I hope there must be same kind of service in London. So did you use that? Did they still lost your application?

Yes we do have the same here in UK its known as recorded delivery but silly me did not think it would be necessary. So I suppose I only have myself to blame! live and learn hey!

Thanks for the reply

I request everyone to use confirm delivery for each doc you sent. DONT TRY to SAVE ANY EXTRA $$$. Anyhow if one is applying for canadian PR, s/he is ensuring that around 10,000$$ are available :)

hey - congrats to all who have received their AOR.

I am also waiting for my AOR - i submitted my application on 10th April - still nothing from them. I contacted CIC and they said they send AORs within 30 weeks of the day application gets submitted. 30 weeks is more than half a year - Lets hope I get to hear some good news from them.

god bless us all!

Did your check get encashed & when? Usually that a good way to anticipate the AOR month by looking at the history of people who got their check encashed and couple of months later got the AOR..

Mr Santa,

Mine was also cashier check. There is 1-800 number or automated system where you can find out your money has been cashed out or not?

thanks for your reply sam70 - i am going to find out today itself whether my cash was enchased or not. but i dont think i will be able to come to know my file number from any where else other than the AOR - is that correct?

also, once the check has been encashed does that mean that my application is in process? please do reply.

correction: mine was a MONEY ORDER, and NOT a cashiers check - do you think the bank will still be able to provide details whether it was encashed or not?
