good day i am from jamaica in the caribbean, i need to know how long it takes for you to get the first letter OAR

Between 10 to 12 months

shouldn't the AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) just take a few weeks? I applied to the Buffalo office and my AOR took 3 weeks. I understand that the applicant in this post has applied elsewhere but 10-12 months sounds like a long time to get an AOR...I would think. Please clarify if you could. Thanks.

no thats not true, i get my OAR shortly after i post my question - 2 months

Sorry for the above post,
actually it was 10- 12 days for AOR(application of receipt)
and to transfer to local it take 10-12 months.
