Topic: LOST PASSPORTS WITH IMMIGRANT VISA. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Posted by curramba (199) 22 Sep 2008
Hi guys I need your advice on this. About 2 weeks ago I was moving out to another house and in the rush and the big mess of the moving, 2 of my daughters passports got lost. I can't find them anywhere and it's been 2 weeks now since them.
What should I do about it? obviously I'll have to get new passports for them, but what am I gonna do about the immigrant visas?.
We are planning to land by november and I do not think it is possible to do so without the visa. I just have their corp documents for landing but I don't know if that could be good enough.
Does anyone here ever been in the same or similar situation?
Please I need some advice from the experts. Thanks a lot!!

hmmm....well you can keep posting here until November when you land, OR you can call CHC and ask them. Dont you think that would be better as they are the one who are going to have to handle the situation?

Thanks for your opinion.
I know I'm gonna have to call CIC but, I just want it to get an idea from someone here at the forum, if maybe in the same or similar situation.

I believe that nothing is impossible, I suggest that you apply for new passports straight away and call the Immigration Office and also, keep searching for the lost ones. Sometimes when you cant find something really important, you panic and you dont search thoroughly! I would pray that you find the lost ones soon! Good luck

Yeah, best is to check with consulate in such cases. After all they are the CORRECT persons. Also try to put more effort in searching. I am sure you will find those in your house only :)
