Topic: 5 weeks after landing, still no PR card
Posted by ruhappy (29) 18 Oct 2008
We landed Canada on 09/07. Till now we still have not received the physical PR card. Is that normal? Can we do something to check / speed up the process? Many thanks

You can fax them to ask. The information is on the last section on the following page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/inFORMation/pr-card/apply-how.asp

Try calling:

1 888 242 2100 Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm.

But from what I understand, it does take 6 to 8 weeks to get the card. So I dont think you should worry.

I am worried because the landing documents I received at the airport states "PR card arrives in 4 weeks". The number does not work in US. Thanks a lot and good luck to all you guys!

Yes, it says 4 weeks but it can take up to 8 weeks for the card to arrive.
