Topic: Is there any scope for re-opening a old case
Posted by raymasa (388) 28 Oct 2008
Has your file been closed? If so, my understanding is that you would be given time to appeal it (it either 60 or 90 days, but not sure). If its been longer than that time, I dont think you can.

But, question again is has the file been closed? Have you received that information for CHC? If not, the file is still open and you can call to reschedule your interview.

If the decision has been made, they will send the letter to the person/address on file that is suppose to receive the letter. If you applied through an attorney, he/she would have received the letter.

Depending on when the decision was made the file may or may not be closed. Again, if the decision was made within 90 days, you may ask to reopen. But if the decision was made due to you not showing up for an interview and not having asked for a reschedule, they may not reopen.

If 90 days have passed, they probably wont open the file.

As suggested above, contact the CHC where it was filed and they will be the only one who can give you the correct answer, no one here can.
