Topic: PPR 2008 quota exhausted for Buffalo and local offices in U.S.
Posted by gototo (64) 17 Nov 2008
A couple of people received e-mails or calls from Detroit and Buffalo telling them that PPRs quota for 2008 has been exhausted and that new PPRs for 2009 will be issued in December.

do you know how true this information is?
(reply) (report this)
Posted by gototo (64) 17 Nov 2008
I beleive it is true because two different persons said the same thing on two different forums. Unless they are the same person with two different usernames: Ledoux on immigration.ca and apple15 on trackitt.com

Hello,

I hope this to be true. I have submitted my medicals on 04 Aug 2008 and did not receive any PPR till date. My BFD as per the CAIPS was on 12 Nov 2008. I have contact the immigration department over phone. They have very clearly said that they are going to send the PPR letter by end of December.

This answer from the Immigration would sound something relavant to "PPR 2008 quota exhausted for Buffalo and local offices in U.S.
"

If anybody is closely watching the www.trackitt.com then they should know the approximate wait time after the medicals for the applications submitted at Buffalo.

Thanks
Rajesh.

Thank you rajesh. You talked with them on the phone and they confirmed the information. This is encouraging. At least we have a timeline now. It will surely be an avalanche of PPRs at the end of next month.

Hi Rajesh,
Is there any phone number to contact with them? I don't know. Could you let us know about that? Thank you.

Khaja,

You have to be in Canada to call up that number which will not work when tried calling from out side world. contact canadaimmigration@shiltechnologies.com who might help you in finding the details about your case.

Thanks
Rajesh

Whom did you contact for processign Canada PR

Posted by rajeshekara (27) 19 Nov 2008
Prasad302,

It good to hear that you are joining us soon in the loop. I was like you in the begining of FY 2007. Now, I'm just waiting to receive the PPR letter by the end of next month Dec 2008.

You can ALWAYS apply on your own to get either CANADA or US GREEEN CARD. But, people always go either through an attorney or Representative. So, its all upto you to decided based on the fee they charge you.

I have gone through a representative and they charged my $600 for the complete processing from the start to end. No extra pie for anything. I have decided to go through a representative as it will definitely cost approximatley more than 12 hours to understand the process, fill the form correctly (Else they will send the applications back), send it , follow up with CIC etc...etc...

I would have definitely spent more than 12 days to do everthing on my own. But, it is upto you to decide whether to go through a representative or not.

i have used 'canadaimmigration@shiltechnologies.com' as my representative to process my canadian GC. Its was just simple to do everthing including to get all the Polic clearance certificate, exp certificates, proficiency letters etc..etc..

All the best.

Thanks
Rajesh

thanks Raj for letting me know about all the process.
1) did the representative help you in getting the police clearance certificate (in USA)
2) do we have any reference site which lets us know the various stages of processing.

Hello rajeshekara,

The number (1-888) which you gave for status enquiry is only for the applications processed in Canada. The applications processed outside canada for eg. buffalo, buffalo visa office to be contacted for this.

So I am just wondering the information you got regarding the PPR in end of Dec 2008???

Because the call centre agents can not tell the status of application processed in abroad visa offices..

Your reply is very much appreciated...

Regards,
bram

Prasad,

Getting the Indian Police Clearance Certificate from USA is a big headache process until and unless you know all the complete process and rules. My rep helped me with all the paper work that needs to be submitted to get the Indian PCC, FBI and my other country PCC.

Please send an email to the rep who might give you a free information and answer your quries.

Thanks
Rajesh

Bram,

Yes, you are correct. I got the information from my rep who is now in Canada. He found the information for me. He told the same thing as the email from the Immigration.

"do we have to get the clearance from both FBI and Indian Police.."

You have to get the police certificate from every country where you have lived for 6 months or more.

Hi Rajesh,

On the quota issue, first you said that CIC told you on the phone that they will issue new PPRs at the end of December. Now you say that your rep found the information for you and that CIC sent you an email. Can you clarify for us.

gototo,

Sorry about the confusion. I always speak to my rep and he was the one who told me about this. When I asked him for any details and evidence, he just forwarded the email that he has received it on my behalf.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Rajesh

Rajesh,

Yes, I understand problems to get Indian PCC, one month now I applied for, still waiting for them to issue PCC.

Well my question is, do you have any idea how to obtain PCC from Qatar and Oman.

Unfortunately when i contacted Qatar and Oman embassy they asked me to travel to Qatar and Oman to obtain PCC.

Akhaliq

what is the procedure to get the India Police Clearance Certificate?
do we have to submit the original passport to the Indian Consulate at NY or is there any other way?
If anyone has submitted the passport at the Consulate do the guyz handle it with care?

Akhaliq,

I understand your situation. I literally waiting for 4 months to get the Indian PCC. They neither pick up the call or reply back to our phone call. When try to leave a voice message, we get a auto reply saying that the 'Message box is full, Goodbye".

Unfortunately I've NOT stayed nor knew anybody who are from in either 'Qatar' or 'Oman'. Ask your representative (If Any) as they should help you about these procedures as they charge money for it.

All you can do is research on internet if you have applied on your own.

All the best

Thanks
Rajesh.

NOTE: If the official are ready to investigte your Canada PR case, any if they find any missing paper work (Delay in PCC's)from you then your case will be on hold and will delayed by 120 Days.

guys, i think the topic here is about PPR 2008 for Buffalo office not police/fbi clearance etc. if you would like to discuss the FBI/Police clearance, you can open another thread for that.

let's have some respect on the original poster and stay on the topic of the thread.

thanks.

todiefor,

I'm sorry about that. I did not relaize it until now. Yes, the topic is completly deviate from the original subject. Mr. prasad302 (7) 19 Nov 2008 please find a appropriate thread to discuss your issues.

We will surely assist you if possible as you find one or the other to help you.

Thanks
Rajesh.

I recently filed my FSW application, I haven't received my AOR as of yet. But as I started touring around some forums I feel more confused than ever. Particularly, the new immigration rule to reduce the backlog. I am confused if this will affect my application or not. Will this mean I have to wait a longer time? The CIC website's description make me feel like there is nothing to worry about. So what do you sense? Will my application not even stand a chance? And has anyone who has applied after the rule recieve their PR? Also is there a distinction for people who are applying outside countries with a backlog? I've applied in Buffalo because I am a US citizen and reside in NYC. I also have way more the 67 points needed. Thanks for your help.

Kintime,

if you see couple of posts above yours, you would notice that todiefor has very kindly and rightly requested that your post should be relevant to the subject of this thread.

Could you please either search the forum to find the topic relevant to your subject or start a new one.

No, I have not subscribed for CAIPS, did you get a mail saying wait till Dec end?
(reply) (report this)

You need not subscribe to get your CAIPS. I got to know my BFD from CAIPS notes which I got it from my representative. I hope you can get it if you have any friends, relatives or a representative in Canada.

Thanks

The new immigration rule is to reduce the backlog because TEN OF THOUSANDs of applications will no longer eligible since Feb2x/08. CIC has also reduced (DOWNGRADE) the projected targets (quota) in Skilled Worker Class to introduce the Canadian Experience Class.

Rajesh,

Many thanks for the reply. Now that I am aware of the duration, they hold the case, i can breathe a sigh of relief, and hope I will be able to get the PCC’s on time.
