Please refrain from using ALL CAPS.

You can provide exactly that, a letter to attest that you are from an English-speaking country and that you have been speaking English since you were a child. You further state and provide proof that your education and work experience communication is in English by providing letters from each organization/company. If your parents are Americans, UK or any other well-known English-speaking country, it would be helpful to also indicate this in your letter.

In any case they will request you to take IETLS. You can tell them to evaluate your English skill based on all the proof you have submitted above or just take the IELTS.

Hello,

This is regarding your IELTS question.

Just wanted to let you know that if your native language is not English, then i advise you to just take the IELTS General Test and submit your scores to the Canadian consulate. Please dont waste your time and energy and money in trying to convince the canadian officials your english skills............It *DOES NOT WORK* and the Canadian officials will not consider this at all.Ofcourse there might be some exceptional cases where they do consider, but the probablity is very low.

So, if your native language is not English, then please register your self for the IELTS General test. Its pretty easy if you are well versed in the language.

Personally, i too did submit a letter informing my english skills, but i was asked to take the exam..........i did take the exam without any sort of preparations and i got a overall band score of 8.

So register ur exam and get ur score...U save valuable processing time!!

Hope this helps you...........goodluck!!

I took the test and thought it was pretty darn easy. For anyone that knows English well, it should be a breeze.

Not questioning your english skills. But when you submitted the explanation letter, do you have any overseas education proof? Like complete study in major English speaking country like Canada, US, GB or Australia?

I used to study in Canada and I know I will be OK. But my wife has some experience in US (BA) and Australia (MBA) and just want to know if those are enough?

IELTS results valid only for one year,so u can do only when CIC ask u to do.otherwise the IELTS results will get expired before they start processing your application.best of luck to you.

from the responses above you can gather those documents and submit.
Chances are that CIC will ask you to take the IELTS test or the educantional points will be subjective and could go against you. At that stage take the test. It is a breeze if you are from an English speaking country like Jamaica.

hi.I understood that your IELTS results directly gone to CIC.6.5 Band score is verymuch enough for Canada Immigration.According to CIC website when they start process your application, the IELTS results should not be beyond one year from the Certificate date. That's it.Apart from education the IELTS results are must for everyone who born in Non - English speaking countries.Your Master degree will give you more score during Immigration application acceptation. You will be intimated by written letter for submitting latest updated doccuments like Police Clearence, Financial Certificate from Registered Chartered Accountant, recent photos, recent working experience etc.
