Topic: "Cancelled Without Prejeduce" visa
Posted by browny07 (12) 04 Dec 2007
Has anybody come across a case when the Buffalo office requested back the passport and stamped the "Cancelled Without Prejeduce" on the immigrant visa? Any known reason? I heard it was a computer crash or something.

It means that THEY probably made a mistake on the visa (e.g. wrong date, wrong visa type, etc...) and that they cancel it to most likely issue a new one on the next page of the passport.

This is what the "without prejudice" means.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't actually looking for the meaning as much as I was wondering has it ever happened to anyone around here and what was the reason.
