I had submitted my application about mid October 2007 (about 2.5 months ago) and have not yet had any response. Not even a receipt.,
Is this normal.
If not what should I do?

the whole process takes about 18 months.. i dont remember the time frame, but from time to time i got different responses from Canada immigration . After 18-20 months i got my medical now.

anyone who filed the case in 2006 ..still waiting for medical..........can anyone give m proper information.
I have never heard any information.

U shud recieve a receipt which is" AOR ". Acknowledgement of receipt. It may take maximum 3 months for them to send u the receipt. If not then please contact CIC.

If you want to be sure whether they have started processign your file you should go to your bank with a copy of the draft that you sent to buffalo along with the application. Ask them have the draft encashed, If yes they have started processing your file and AOR will come to you anytime
