Topic: Buffalo cases - No movement
Buffalo cases seem to have come to a grinding halt for all the cases filed since around 15th Nov 07. Does anyone have an idea why?

Yes you are right , a couple of days ago I got an email from them to say there are hundreds other applicant waiting for their Background check. she said hopefully it will come soon for all of them!!!!!

I think the holidays slowed everything down. Just got AOR last week and we applied Nov.

I applyied on 30th june 2006 since then never heard anything.I am in canada for 4 yrs now.I filed in buffalo.
I have no idea wtz going on.

I think you must check with Buffalo , send them email or call them up

Why are the Buffalo cases moving so slowly.It seems like this year it is more delayed to get the AOR's.I see ppl who applied in july aug last year got AOR's sooner that the onew who applied after Nov 07'. Wat is happening?Anybody, any idea?

Hello,
I am stuck in background check since August 2007. FBI "no record" certificate submitted in Oct 2007. I have been in USA for past 9 years.
The problem is CICS forwards your file to CSIS (canadian secret service) for background check, and if r in the USA, they call ur home country's Embassy. If CSIS is going to call the local police station in India & wait for an answer, then I have no clue!
Still waiting......

You are lucky to get an answer like this, every answer I got was always the same whatever questions I asked. And I think it's the secretary who answers the e-mail instead of the visa officer. Anyone has any idea of this?

Hey . i am student in canada , i put my file last year in june ,,
and i got file no. at that ttime in same month , so
can anybody tell me that how long it will take to get my medical ,,
Moreover , is there any other option to contect buffello office exept email them?
Becuase they gave always same answer for my question that your file is in process
and we can not tell you the exact date for decision .
Please help me out for this ,

I kept emailing and faxing to buffalo office twice a week for the past 6 months. I nevr got any replies!
finally I got PPR letter 2 days back. Medicals & FBI no record certificate submitted 6 months back.

when you have file yr case.I filed up in june 30/06 buffalo
Till now no information.I got the work permit with one company and i submitted my work permit on feb 27th 08.
I havent heard anything from them. I mailed buffalo they mailed me back that your file is in que waiting for officer review.
Kindly let me know if you can provide me any information.

Please be advised that your application is in process, however we are unable to provide an exact date when a final decision will be made.
I have submitted my work permit in feb 08.Filed in june 2006.
Itz more than 22 months and I am in canada since 2004.
Can anyone guide me or give me any update information

Because we applied in feb mid and waiting for AOR.so little worried and i had fees through Moneyorder and not through draft
so liitle confused. just want to check timeline for getting Aor

samdelhi, there is something wrong with your file.... If it is Buffalo, there is not possble way that you have not received any news on your application since june/06!!!! Email Buffalo again, if nothing happens you should withdraw and apply again...

I filed my application in June 30 2006 in buffalo. I submitted IELTS in Oct 2007.I mailed the documents for my college in 2008 with diploma certificate.
I submitted my work permit in Feb 2008.Till today date haven't received medical or any other query.

Oh, ok!!! now it is different.... LOL... Just be patient, you are about to receive IA soon, it may take between 1 to 3 months normally after ALL documentation have been completed. If you submitted the last docs in jan or feb, just wait another month, you'll receive news very soon...

I know but itz more than 22 months....Do you know any one who get the papers who filed in 2006.

samdelhi, you submitted IELTS in october (2007) and other documents at the begining of 2008; its just normal that they have not been able to complete your IA. If you are sure they have all docs, then you should be getting good newas soon... You cant say you have waited for 22 months because you have been asked for docs throughout all this time, it has been active so dont worry...

I applied in June 2006. I got PPR only last month. Its all on my profile.

Have patience!!! I am sure you will receive your medicals and then all will be done quickly. Buffalo is still fast compare to New Delhi or other consulates (where it takes 5 - 6 years!!!)
