Topic: Buffalo AOR Waiting Period
Posted by instinct (10) 10 Apr 2008
Guys, as you would have noticed the timeline to receive an AOR for applications submitted in Buffalo seems to be increasing quite a lot. As of now from the statistics from this website it seems to take more than 2 months to get an AOR. Does anyone have an idea on what the reasons are? Is it normal at this time of the year? Can we expect it to go down in future?

AOR is generally issued once officers have confirmed that all submitted documents are in order and clear. Regarding the timing to receive an AOR is not very deterministic and the reasons for a delayed one also not very clear (to general public). You can send a mail to the consulate office asking about whereabouts of your application.

cnstudd,

Why would background check hold up AOR????? AOR is acknowledgment of receipt. That is the application has been received by the CIC office. Backround check doesnt happen until after AI. Makin up answers as we go along, do we?
