According to VSC the processing time for H4 is Oct 2007. Does someone knows if
1. Does it really takes that long for H4 approval?
2. Is premium processing an option available for H4?
3. Since my H1B is already approved - could her H4 be approved in lesser time frame?

not really, my wife took two weeks to get her visa. depends on the country you live & embassy.
2. Is premium processing an option available for H4? I dont think so!
3. Since my H1B is already approved - could her H4 be approved in lesser time frame? suppose to be.

got mine (h4 visa) in minutes (concurrent with my husband's h1 B stamping).
you should consult your HR on what to do next.

i am also in the same boat..i got my h1b extension but h4 extension is still pending...all my friends (5 of them) who filed after me got their h1 as well spouse h4 extension approved....can anybosy please tell me what is the reason for this?? i also contacted my HR but they are saying that they cannot do anything as they processed my dependents application along with my application

Officially, they are processing the H4 applications filed in Jan'08.
