Topic: Any News on the H1B applications filed on Apr 01 2008
Hi Vaish,
People are still getting receipt numbers, today also people got them. Haven't still heard that rejections have started coz USCIS has extended the date for sending receipt numbers by 7th june instead of 2nd june (P.S. These words are being said by one of the attorneys). So i guess one should not lose hope till 7th june coz officially by USCIS theres no news that they have started sending the packets back but this is also true that some of MS people with PP have got their packets back. So everyone waiting to get receipt numbers, keep ur fingers crossed.

Thank Q very much 4 your concern CLP. Infact I have been very much worried 4 the past 1 week for there is no updated news in the forum. Still I have 1 week in hand to expect some thing positive. Even I mailed my consultant. He too said the same thing that to wait until june 5th or so. Anyway Thank u once again. I do request all other viewers to respond and share updated news

I too was wondering why there hasn't been any postings regarding receiving of their receipt notices. I'm really getting more and more hopeless by the day 'til now.

Hi there,
even I have not receveid any intimation from my employer on the status. getting a bit nervey as initally usics said that they will send the receipt nos within 15-20 days of the lottery draw. People say that cheques getting cleared become an indicator of ur application being picked up but i think that has also not happened this time.

Hello friends, Did any one know how our consultants get the receipt number. I mean whether through post or by any other means. How the consultancy people certify that we got our so called receipt numbers. Every evening do check your E-mails. I heard that they get the receipt number by post. Do not loose hope.... Still we have some more time. If any one know anything in detail do leave a message.

Some days back my consultant company called and said my application has been selected in the lottery. But after that I am not getting any update from them regarding receipt number. I am bit worried about this. I called them on 31 may 2008, they said they have to get receipt numbers for some applications. Please suggest me how should I go further.

I got the reciept number from my employer stating that my application has been selected in lottery.
When i see the status online , it says "case recieved and pending" and it also says that the appilcation was recieved on
May 14th 2008.
What will be the next course of action in the H1B process. When will they call for an interview. When can we make sure that our H1B application has been approved.
Can some one tell me the approximate processing time for getting the H1B approved.

Hi
You need to wait for the approval letter from the USCIS and then
your consultant/employer will send you a bunch of papers to proceed for the Interview for stamping (say end of July 08)
after that you need to go online and schedule interivew
before that you need to get the correct fees in prescribed format
before that you should think who all involved for stamping and what type visa you, your spouse or kids needs?
before that you see whether you have all documents (your own and DOB, Marriage Cert (if any)

Hi,I have applied for H1-B through one of consultants.I dont have any update till now and am bit nervous whether or not my application has been selected in the Lottery.My consultant does not even know whether or not that my fees paid has been deducted.They are asking me to wait till 1st week of june.How can i get to know my application status?Is there any way to know the lottery selection list?Please do let me know.

hi seeni, there is no way u can track ur application until u get the receipt number...all you can do is wait like us...i wish every one all the best..hope all of us hear some positive result by this weekend.

Hi Leela..Be cool and hold your breath for sometime....All your prayers and wishes will be answered soon.
You can track you application status using your receipt number at www.uscis.gov.
There are little chances of getting application rejected after chosen in the lottery only if found ineligible with educational qualification and relevent experience.
Dont believe things happening around.JUst pop in to the portal check your status.

I'm so lost right now... I haven't heard any news about my petition but TTTT, I'm not really that optimistic anymore. I really feel like crying now. ALL of my friends were selected and I'm wondering why am I so unlucky.. of all the people why only me.. terrible...terrible feeling.

Even i am facing the same situation. On May 7th my employer informed me that the check for my H1b petition has been encased so that we can assume that your petition has been picked up in the random selection.
But so for i didnt receive receipt for my petition.
Hope i will get it today.

I know for a fact that the 'lottery' was done during the second week of April. USCIS said they will release receipt notices 'til the 2nd of June though I've read that it will be extended 'til June 5 or 7.

lets all share if anybody gets to know that his consultant has got the application back due to rejection.
Also please inform if anybody starts receiving refunds bcoz i think there is no point waiting for the packet to come back since,
in anyway its gonna be a rejection now.
i dont understand y the hell these blood suckers are telling us to wait till the application comes back from uscis.
really worried about my hard earned money...........

Yeah, I also think they are waiting for the status of our application, but at least they must respond to emails that they have no news. Hopefully they will get back to us ASAP. My current employer is planning to send me onshore on an L1 visa, that is why I am eagerly waiting for the results, good or bad. I am from the Philippines, by the way.
