Well guys if your consultant says the cheque is cleared then it is 99% thru for sure so no worries. in any case u would come to know your status by june second week max it should not go beyond that ...
post that stamping process starts.

dont worry world never ends INDIA IS booming anyway and gas is still very cheap and subsidized here as compared to usa so all who have not made it enjoy n drive thru subsidized gas/petrols.

I am B.sc., with 11 years experience in Metal analysis field as Laboratory Chemist/In-Charge.
I have recieved the USCIS receipt date as 22.04.208. Is there any body who is like this kind of experience and qualification got approved and entered in US?
And I am requesting the experts in this H1B forum to advise whther My ambition to go to US will be succeeded or not?

Yes. You have chance in Automobile Industry like GM, Ford, Nissan OR Steel (CRCA, CRNO) plants, OR Stell Pickling Plants, or MS Pipe Manufacturing Plants in US.
You need to search these type of companies in internet for their webiste >> careers >> Opportunies>> click apply.
I belive your company already offered you. any way i can help you on job search....but not immediately... pls send your email to me. (not here) send directly to my email.

No. I have applied this H1B based on my Qualifications & Experience (not on Singapore PR). Because i am still Indian Citizen. Yes but Officers will see that any apply and goes to US on H1B (will return back to their country after the visa period...so they see your intention going to U.S (i.e. only to Work there and Come back).

After lottery they got receipt number. Now they are waiting for approval.

Approval by the chennai Consultate is very tough, So far the approval's are getting rejected every year because of Only BSc, If the candidate has don't have master degree they are getting rejected.

One of my colleague said BSc., is not a problem. The way which you present at US consulate depends ur approval.
Please be confident and leave to the THY.
I am also Bsc., 11 year exp.I am also in little bit tense
At least you got approval notice from USCIS. But I am not and waiting.
And can you pl tell when did you receive the approval and who has applied ur H1B petition isit premium or regular

hello leela..
it all depends on the way u present urself in the interview.. make sure that you have all your indian property/asset docs in order to acknowledge the diplomat that you are not going to stay beyond your employment.. try to explain them that you are a skilled labour whom your employer can't find a replacement in US.. if possible try to convince the interviewer that you have a dependent family in India.. moreover, try to make a mountain out of a molehill about your skills..
keep your fingers crossed as I know people who had all such qualifications was ignored in the interview..

But it is 6th of june today and i didn't get any information about receipt number.

For H1 and L1 visas; Consultate officer does not care about if you are reallygoing to come back or not. As h1 and L1 provides legal ways of settling down in US. The only problem is that the job you are going to do is a genuine one and require skills that you could not be found in US easily and you have that adequate background do the job. Other important things are the company and number of employees and the amount of salary given to you.

Hi all!
I emailed the legal assistant assigned to my case yesterday since it's been four days already since the deadline of USCIS had passed and I haven't heard from her yet. She would normally instantly reply to my messages. It's the weekend so I guess I won't be hearing from her which means prolonging the agony still of waiting for days on end!!! I'm really so frustrated now and so drained emotionally and spiritually.
I would just wanna say God bless us all who are still hanging. I hope all our waiting won't be in vain.

hi hopeh1, we are on the same boat, my check was also encashed but i am still waiting for the receipt up to know. my lawyer told me that i was on the waiting list. but my friends lawyer told my friend that whenever your check was encashed it was sure that you were selected by lottery. All in all we only have to waite for our final fate. Hope for the best in this case.

It is anybodys gus. The USCIS should atleast indicate the name of the alien in receipt no displayed in its website. Otherwise it will only help the fake consultants to give unfair feed back to aliens.

in uscis website name will not be displayed.if you ask ur employer to scan and send the receipt no form he ll send.there by u can conclude that its ur unique receipt no.members in this forum who dont know this make sure to do the above.as i know some people got separate receipt numbers rather than theirs.and some one waited 3,4 months checking status pending though their case approved ,as they got another number not their unique number.why to ve that unnecessary wait?so make sure that the receipt number u got is urs by seeing ur full name in ur receipt number form that uscis sent....

They are telling that they are waiting for receipt number for some applications (including mine). I am bit tensed now. Please suggest.

USCIS POSTED ALL RECEIPTS TO THE SUCCESSFULL CANDITATES BEFORE MAY'30 AND IT SHOULD HAD BEEN RECEIVED BY EITHER YOUR ATTORNEY OR BY YOUR EMPLOYER BEFORE JUNE'02.
PEOPLE WHO WAS NOT QUALIFIED IN THE LOTTERY WILL GET THEIR REJECTION LETTERS WITH ALL YOUR PAPERS AND FEES BY END OF NEXT WEEK.
NO WORRIES .. CONVINCE YOURSELF LIKE WHAT I DID FOR ME.
ACCORDING TO MATHEMATICAL PROBABILITY, ONE SHOULD GET PICKED UP BY LOTTERY OUT OF 5 APPLICATION HE/SHE MAKES ON A WORST OUTCOME. THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME AND I HAD ONLY 3 MORE TRIES TO GO..

can anyone tell if uscis had mailed the rejection letters. my consultant keeps telling me that he has not yet, even started getting the rejection letters.
im really worriedabout my money if he is going to return the promised amount or not.
as already i didnt prove lucky this year also, so the refund problem seems to add to my plight.
If anyone can throw some light on this.

Normally you will get the approval email within 40 to 45 days (if you have registered on their website USCIS with your Receipt Number)

I was also eagerly waiting for the results.Yesterday my employer mailed me saying that i am not picked in Lottery.The way he was saying looked like all the approved and wait listed petitions have been informed.If somebody gets number by this week its their fate.
Lets wait for one more year to get our turn:-)

"Petitioners whose properly filed petitions have been selected for full adjudication should receive a receipt notice dated no later than June 2, 2008. USCIS will return unselected petitions with the fee(s) to petitioners or their authorized representatives. As previously announced, duplicate filings will be returned without the fee. The total adjudication process is expected to take approximately eight to ten weeks."
DONT WASTE TOO MUCH TIME ON SPEAKING ABOUT H1 VISA FOR THIS YEAR.. TRY FOR 2009 INSTEAD..

but my employer is asking me to wait until he receives the rejected petitions. He says he cannot say anything until he gets the packet back. so it is keeping me tensed. How long to wait????

Hi.. I applied my H1B extension on March 10th at Vermont service center and upgraded to premium processing on 23rd May. On 29th May, I see the status changed to approval notice sent. But still my company haven't got approval notice. Usually how long it takes to get approval notice once they changed the status to approval notice sent.

Is still anyone waiting for receipt number after selected in lottery. My consultant company informed me on may14 that I was selected in lottery (check en cashed) , but after that I didn't get receipt number. When I called them yesterday they said to wait for one more week. Since I had given a bank guarantee of 1 lack to them, now I started doubting them.

Hi... rokrram.... what back guaranteee??? Hope u finalized before on how much amount that they refund if you are n't selected in lottery. Be clear. At the most an employer would charge $ 500-$700. If they charge more than that.... you need to think. It's not worth to charge more than that amount. Even it happened same to my friend last year. He charged $1400. That employer is from chicago.I don't his name. Don't loose amount unnecessarily.

I have signed and returned back the offer letter to them. In offer letter they have mentioned as,
1) If case is not selected through lottery system, you have to pay Rs 6000/ as processing fee and Bank Guarantee will be returned.
2) company also reserves the right to recover 50% of the amount of the Bank Guarantee(BG) in case the visa of the Consultant gets rejected at any stage by any of the approving agencies.
there are 4 other points which will be applicable only if case is approved my USCIS.
Here my concern is above points are not mentioned in BG. In BG it is just mentioned agreement b/w me and company, means offer letter in which I have signed.

I am happy to say finally I got approval notice by email from my employer. But in USCIS It is not updated. Can you please tell for any body happened like this.
And more over I am residing in Tamilnadu but in approval notice I have to go to Mumbai for VISA stamping.
Is it possible to make stamping at Mumbai Consulate ? Please answer If any body is having the same experience.
