Hello, How many month's hotel booking did you do and how much of great britain pounds did you retail in your account and for how long?
Did you apply alone or with your spouse.
Thanks.
|
Hi,
Regarding hotel booking,
I did it through bookings.com from mid july to september first week a total of 3 weeks.
I had cancelled the same now.
Regarding the GBP show in bank account,
As I applied before April 1st, I was able to show a movable asset of 3000 GBP and immovable asset of 2000 GBP, a total of 5000 GBP only. I showed this for only one week as the personal loan was just credited 2 days before filing for EC and I supplied the loan clearence statement from the bank.
I applied alone.
Thanks and regards,
Sanadana.

Hello sanadana,
Thanks a million for this valuable information. I want to apply for my entry clearance in Nigeria and since the new system has not taken off here. I feel the three months cash holding requirements will not affect me.
Please let me also know if you made any initial payments for the hotel while doing the booking.
Warm regards,
babaagba.

Hi Babaagba,
yes, as you said, showing monetary backing should not be a problem.
Coming to accomodation, book in www.bookings.com
have any international credit card ( your local bank will give you some card in their name with either VISA, MASTER CARD or other internationally accepted stamp - look for one in your card).
After you select a particular hotel, the site will ask for your credit card details.
Give the credit card details (along with the 3 digit pin at the back of the card).
You will recieve a confirmatory screen with a print option - the same screen will be emailed to your mail id that you give.
take a print out from any of them.
go for some 3 star hotel in and around london. I went in for a 3 star hotel in westminister for 3 weeks and the charge did not go more than 800 GBP.
they will deduct one day's charge initially for verification. After a week's time when they have verified your card, they are supposed to return back the amount.. but I havent got the confirmation from the bank regarding getting the amount back from the hotel.
submit the print out when going for EC. After your EC has been taken a decision by the british consulate, just go to the link given in the print out ( or email ) copy for cancellation and cancel the hotel booking.
All the best.
Thanks and regards,
Sanadana

Once again, thank you very much.

@sriharibabu,
hoping that your date of debit of fee is 15th may, then you have to wait for 4 weeks in case of HSMP.
but now that the system is Tier 1, I am unaware of the duration it takes.
But any case for all HSMP people, it took 4 weeks of HSMP and then another 4 weeks of EC, so a total of 8 weeks of waiting.. in my case it exactly took 8 weeks for both process to get completed - just as given in their HO site.
so, you can trust the HO site duration if given any... ( maximum i belive you will get your VISA stamped by 2 months and get back the passport in another 1 week from then).
Do let me know when you get the passport stamped.
Wishing you all the best.
bye.
Regards,
Sanadana.

hi bsudharsan,

will call you in weekend..
Thanks and regards,
Sanadana.

Hi sanadana,
i am awaiting my approval letter by airmail. i am confused on which visa application form to fill for EC. i want to know if it is VAF1 or VAF2.
Your response will be higly appreciated. Thanks
Regards
Daystar.
|
Hi daystar007,
I dont know whether you mean to say you applied for HSMP and still waiting in airmail or you are applying for Tier1.
In both cases, the following will be a general rule...
in case you applied for HSMP and you are yet to get the HSMP permit, then go in for the transition arrangment document in the HO site.
in case you are going to apply for Tier 1 permit, then use the Tier 1 general Highly skilled worker document in HO site.
In both cases, now you are required to hold a total of 2800 GBP in your savings account for 3 months continously without dip in amount. get your assets certified by an auditor and get all bank statements and book your accomodation and show the letters and statements.
All the best.
do keep me posted of your case.
Thanks and regards,
Sanadana.

dear all....
sorry to jum in the forum but i have an urgent query and felt that all u guys have got the EC so would be able to help me better....
i applied EC on 22nd but my issue is that my funds in savings account dnt hold 2800 pounds since 3 months but i have attached FD's on my name where the funds are sufficient and also the FD's are 1 year old....
im worried about the fact that will those FD"s be considered for my maintainence section ....
things are still on the way to happen and i get really tensed after looking at people's rejection because of funds not maintained...
please suggest
thanks in advance
regards..........

@vimal007,
hi vimal,
i booked only hotel booking in bookings.com and if you want to know how many days i booked, i booked for 3 weeks.
the amount depends on the peakness of the period and holiday season and the number of saturdays and sundays falling in between. the hotels dont charge, but they do make a transaction for a one day charge to check your card's validity and then when you cancel your booking, that amount is returned back.
all the best.
bye.
thanks and regards,
Sanadana.

@Godbless,
hi godbless,
dont worry, your docs are in half way progress, so no need to worry now, what ever be the outcome, be prepared with another explanation letter.
in case your fund maintenance becomes an issue, try explaining in your EC Covering letter that you have sufficient fund in FD and that you have requested to break the FD and that the process is in progress and will update the caseworker as soon as possible and in any case you have sufficient funds to back your stay there in UK.
it should not be a problem - the case worker just needs to be convinced that you have enough funds to back you up.
whatever all the documents that the EC supposes to be presented with, most people might not be in a position to show all of them, one or other, here and there, there would be some missing, but if your case is genuine and you believe you can support your cause, go ahead and explain your state in the EC covering letter clearly and convince the case worker that yours is a genuine case and not a fraudulent one and that if required you can show the evidence.
all the very best for your EC and do update me on your EC status.
thanks and regards,
Sanadana.

dear sandana,

just waiting eagerly for the outcum....
thanks again

Hi Sandana
Fisrt of congratulations on receiving approval, I wish all the very best to you
I needed a small clarification on EC
I think there is maintenance on GBP 2800 in the account, id there any time span to maintain this balance in the account and would you be having an idea on documents needed for EC?
Also, with regard to job in UK, do you already have a job here or you would be going and hunting for one, if yes can you please help me with some consultants list who can help in me getting a job in F&A stream?
ALso how much time does one have after the receipt of approval to go to UK
Thanks for your help

Hello,
I want to apply for hsmp. i had deposited 2800 pound in my account last week.As per process,i had to wait for 3 months before applying for HSMP.Do i need to deposit any thing more in my account. My package is 5.50 lacs per annum which i am recieving in my bank account from company.Wht else do i need for HSMP???
|
Hi sandana/charu/godbless
Can you provide any information on HSMP?
|
@Godbless,
all the best for your EC.
@charu,
for EC, the document list would be all your HSMP documents that came from HO along with your passport and the maintenance fund details like shares, mutual funds, savings account, fixed deposits, etc., signed by respective banks, genuine statements, auditor letter for all the docs.
I dont have job now in India. I need some time to settle there and then start searching job . Lets see what the future holds. I am positive with my future.
@vsherawat,
reg. ur hsmp, now its tier1, yes - you need to wait for 3 more months - try to gather as much information on each and every step like sending it through courier, getting it back from HO, fund maintenance, etc., and never make a step without first searching through forums about case histories - try searching in forums like trackitt and immigration boards and you will have a very clear picture. trackitt is especially useful after you have applied and to know the frequency in which people who have applied in same time period got their visas.
so all the best for you.
@for all your guys who want to contact me.
I am available over my email id sanadana@gmail.com - do drop in a mail.
