Topic: Bank balance to be shown before applying for EC
Posted by aniruddh (3) 05 May 2008
Hi,

As of my knowledge we should show an account balance of 2800GBP for myself and 1800GBP for the dependant (spouse) before applying for EC. Do I need to show another 1800GBP for the kid less than a year old?

I have query regarding showing bank balance.

I have applied for HSMP (not Tier1) in Feb 2008 and still waiting for its approval. If I get the HSMP, should I have to show bank balance for EC, though I haven't applied under tier1. Would the New rules applicable for the people who has applied HSMP prior to April 1st.
