Hi Guys,
My Application status changed as " Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on 12 May 2008". I don't know the result. I will update Tomorrow.

Which form did you filled is it VAF2 or the new one ?
Have you maintained 2800 GBP for the past 3 months ?
I have applied for EC from Bangalore on April 10 by filling the old form (VAF 2) and without maintaining 2800 GBP.

I'll surely let you know about the status, but I'm bit tensed as I've been reading threads in other groups where people are getting rejection for simple thing as not able to verify details with employer.
I guess it's purely your luck that plays the role after you've done the required thing from your end.
Lets hope for the best.
UJJWALPA: I was not able to show 2800 GBP for three months but I had around GBP 5000 in my account and other sponsorship letters.

I just went to BHC delhi and help desk told me to wait till next week and even then if it does not come, then enquire again.

Hi,
I just called up BHC, Mumbai, VISA helpdesk on 022-22813616, fortunately they picked up the phone.
I gave my passport number for reference and they confirmed that decision should be taken in 2-3 days and documents will be forwarded within this week to VFS, Mumbai.
Lets hope there should have been no problem for them to take a decision.

Helo All,
I had applied on May-12th-2008 for EC in Delhi.I got approval in Old scheme.
I had shown 2800GBP in my savings account for 3 months with a help of personal loan of 1.5 lakhs.My account balance at the time of applying EC is nearly 4000GBP.
I had also submitted an Job offer of 45,000GBP in UK.
I had also submitted the loan approval document.
Keeping my fingers crossed wheather i will get the VISA or Not?
Any one let me know my chances of getting VISA please?

Hi zaynab, yep you can apply for your spouse , you have to show Nikah naama for that.
you can show your own bank statment , yes if your mother is agree to support you while looking for job in uk , she can write it donw on stamp paper and enclose her bank statments.
for EC you will have to go with your origanal HSMP letter , origanal documents you send to home office for your approval letter ( don't give untill they dont ask) fill in VAF 2 and bring it along with prescribed fees.
In august Rules will be changed. expected date of rule change is 30th june 2008 then you will have to go for tier 1.
in tier one you will have to show 2800 pounds for your self , 1600 pounds for your husband.

after marriage i can show joint account with mother or father thats not an issue and they can give me on stamp paper? is it safe to aply with husband when he is not working here? il have to submit original nikah nama?

Tier one is supose to be completly launch in summer 2008 ( and summer means maximum 30th june thats what i have read on internal guidness when i was applying for EC)
when tier one will be completly launched you must apply under tier one , you will download the forms from ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk and you dont have to re fill all the forms again but section 3c and attach your approval letter,
this means you dont have to fill the critira requiered 75 points again and 10 points for english ( both have been done for previously)
you just have to full fill maintanince fund requirement worth 10 points by showed required fund
homeoffice people are aware of every situation so they have put transational rules for people who are already holding hsmp approval letter.
you dont have to sumbit orignal nikah naama you will take certified copy and orginal just to show to officer.
if your husband is not working it should not effect your application because he is not primry candidate.
but if he is qulified enough you can mention that he could be worthful for uk economy too.

He came to my apartment that time I was in my office. My apartment security told him to wait ,that person didn't wait. After I reached my apartment my security told this. I called customer care, they told that they would send a person tomorrow after noon between 2-3 PM. This is the update from my side.
Any updates from you side ?

Happy News to all. I got my EC Cleared Yesterday. I got all my papers today via Blue Dart.
Here are the Details
HSMP Approval: 11th February, 2008.
EC Applied: 10th April, 2008
EC Status: Got the Visa Stamped for 3 Years i.e. till 2011. Got approval under Tier1.
FYI.. I have shown only the Bank Status of Fixed Deposit for an about a Month but not continuously for 3 Months. But, still got approval. Probably they considered my application based on old rules.

yes you were still under transational arangements so you did not have to to show for 3 months

Yes. People who applied post April 1st 2008 , are getting visa stamped for 3 years .... even though they have applied with VAF2 under old rules (without GBP 2800 for 3 months ) ....but I have seen some posts in some other forums where there are a few rejections mentioning the reason as " GBP 2800 not maintained in the account for 3 months " .. I am not sure how valid are those posts ..but Recently a few people got approval and visa is stamped for 3 years.
I have applied on 8th Apr at VFS , Hyderabad , under old rules VAF2 . But I didnt received any updates till now..

Very soon... have to check about IT in UK... One more thing did u notice about the last paper with the attachment we got it from VFS. In that If the stamping is positive then they will send through courier or have to collect it from VFS. If the stamping is negative then we have to collect the originals from VFS.

Today I have called BHC , Chennai . They told me that they took a decision on my application and I will receive my passport in 1 - 2 days..Just waiting for the courier..
Do we received courier directly from high commission or they send to VFS through which we applied and VFS sends to us ..

Did u pay Rs.170 for courier charge ? If you have paid then it will directly come to ur door otherwise you have to go and collect it from VFS.

what kind of accomodation letter do i need to show?? will an email from my friend living there be sufficient? cuz il be staying with friends till i get a proper job there and get my own place.
do we need to get return ticket or one way is fine?

no one is bothered about the ticket..it can be one way or return ..regarding letter for accomodation, u can ask ur friend to send a invitational letter signed to u ..even a scanned copy will do but email is not appropriate..

Today, I called up BHC, Mumbai, again and they informed me that decision has been taken but they are awaiting someone's approval to make it final and it should take 3-4 days more.
They asked me to wait until mid of next week to get the status.
It so weird, today I've completed 23rd working day.
The process really tests ones patience, first while filling initial application and then for EC.
