Its strange that no reply to EC apps for so long. One of my friend ha a strange experience. He told me that whatever u see on the net, the same thing is said over the fone. His visa was issued long ago and lying at VFS, and wen he went to ask personally at VFS, got his passport with visa.

Hi Vanitha,
I submitted my request for WITHDRAWAL, but it was not accepted saying "Decision is made on your application and is awaiting passport dispatch". This was early last week, but so far no update.
I called up British High Commission, Mumbai, they are just saying the same thing that it will take 2-3 days more since it has gone to Manager.
I'm not sure what does that mean, Is it gone for Approval / Rejection to the manager?.....Very dicey situation.

This is Khuram Noman from Lahore, Pakistan. I have applied for the HSMP and got the approval letter from Home Office on 24-March-2008, then i applied for EC on 16-April-2008 but unfortunately my EC visa has been reject on couple of reasons. Below are the reasons.
Reason 1
You have submitted a work reference from Al Barakah industriesthat the British High Commission have been unable to verify as genuine. Wecalled the company several times and received no response. We checked with thePakistan Telephone Company but there is no alternative number available fromthis company. Since we have made every effort to verify your experience andhave been unable to do so, your application falls for refusal therefore underparagraph 135HA(ii)
Reason 2
You have provided a bankstatement as evidence of funds available to relocate to the UK. These funds arethe result of a large deposit of Rs 500,000 (£3906). Clearly this is well in excessof your income and you have provided no evidence of the origin of these funds.Whilst or sell property, it is also reasonable to expect them to provideevidence of this. In the absence of any evidence Iam not satisfied that thesefunds are personally yours and available to fund your relocation to the UK. Iamnot satisfied that you are able to maintain and accommodate yourself and youdependants until such time that you are in receipt of an income 135A(ii)HC395.
Let me explain you a bit about my case. I have shown that iam doing 2 jobs one full time and one part time. BHC called to my full time job office and get the verification, but unfortunately the day they called to my part time job office the Landline# is out of order and we have already lodge a complaint in Pakistan Telephone Company(iam not sure about that they called in those days or not but i think they called on days when the phone is out of order).
Now about the funds i have provide the sale receipt, affidavit and T.O Form but i think i made the mistake that i didn't translate the sale receipt and affidavit in English i provide the original ones that is in URDU but the T.O Form is in english
so can u plz guys guide me what i can do now either go for the appeal or go for new application or for the administrative review and what are chances in administrative review?

From how long you are holding the fixed deposits?? what is the maturity date of the fixed deposits?

got the hsmp approval letter in 4 weeks,
and submitted on march 28th for EC, still pending, pending and pending
they have called my employers and banks aswell around april 28
still no news on the passports, pending , have no idea whats happenning,
i have called the british high commision; they say waiting for some infomation from home office uk
have put few mail; they say application is pending for information
thats it, like your ideas please

Well, Akshar,
HSMP people rarely go for interviews, so not to worry. Can go anywhere. As such, Mumabi will give u results faster by a few days may be 2 to 5 days early due to courier from A'bad to Mumbai.
Also note u shud get accomodation letters from UK with address proof, aware of that? Also read my reply in another forum.

Have you already made an application? I suppose not. Wot you can do is, if you are not in a hurry, you can wait and get all the things solid so there are no chance given to the officer to reject your app.
Else, you can use FDs, some people have already used FDs to success, in this site, no one shows that FD is invalid. But remember that they are going to be liberal only for some time, may be upto July as three months from the new rule on 1st April.

2800GBP for 3 months :Yes (with the help of personal loan of 1.75 lakhs),produced loan approval document,
Final status:Approved on 29th May ,Got stamped passport on 31-May-2008

My application in HSMP rules, but as of new system 2800 GBP maintain in Bank. It is also applicable to me also, because many person has got the rejection of the Bank fund
1) If I apply with my wife then how much fund I have to maintain in bank ?
2) I maintain 2800 GBP in my bank acocunt, Once a day I nedded the money and my balance was 183000/-.
In this case I am not fulfill the same condion. Can i show my another tow accouts where are credit rs 50000/ since last 3 months. As per this condion I have been maintain 2800 GBP in my Three bank account.
Is it right? Please guide me.

I think its 2800 + 1600, pls check the VFS and BIA website, if u dont know their website, u shud know. Go to google and type VFS, u shall get it.
U can add as many accounts as you want, this is obviuos, as there is no where written that you cant use nore than 1. So just imagine, that any normal person wud have such situations.
So you can use the 50k or wotever u want to.

its fine if you fill VAF2 . they will just see the 2800 pounds maintenance for 3 months before your application.
so dont worry , u will get your Visa stamped for 3 years.

Dont worry if u have filled VAF 2 as there are many people who have done that. And if u go thru both the forms, they are same. Its just the names are different.

I have to show the accomidation proff. and i am applying for a dependent visa for HSMP.
The rental agreement is not on my wife name, it is on her roommate name.
she does not want to sign on the accomidation letter.
So it would be ok that if i show my accomidation proff on some other address.And again my wife bank statement reflects the address where she stays.
Is It ok if my accomidation letter and Bank statement reflects different address.
Is it ok.

Get documents of your UK friend/wife, i.e. for accomodation proof =
1) Tenancy Agreement
2) Council Tax Bill
3) Electricity Bill
4) Water Bill
5) first and last page of passport and UK friends status in terms of his UK visa page

1 HSMP application letter
2 HSMP form – with photograph as per prescription
3 Qualification – Original Bachelor of Commerce Degree with transcript
4 Previous Earnings
• Salary Certificate from employer
• Bonus Letter from employer
4a. Consolidated Earning calculation
12 months HSBC Bank statements showing salary and allowances being credited
4b. Salary slips from employer for 15 months
5 Age claim
• Original International Driver’s License
• Legalised Passport Photocopy with Date of Birth
6 English Language Confirmation Letter from …..
7 Degree Confirmation
• NARIC letter stating the comparability of level of education
I am planning to apply for my wife's visa later. As less documents needs to be submitted at the initial stage. If you can confirm these are enough I will go ahead and apply.
Request you to confirm that the above will suffice with for the initial processing for HSMP application.

Hi ,
I have got the HSMP approval last month. I am planning to apply for UK visa in the nearfuture.
My query is regarding the 2800 pounds bank balance in the bank account.
Is it ok if i take an amont of 1.5 lakhs from my father and produce a leagal document saying that , i had give 1.5 lakhs to my father and now he is returning that to me and similarly for the remaining 1 lakh from my friend .
Or is it better to ask my freinds to transfer small amounts ( 20 k) once in every three days.
