Topic: Side job.
Posted by chiengaleux (9) 07 May 2008
Hello, i am currently working for a company with a proper salary slot on the bank statement.

But i have been doing some contractor based jobs on the 'side' i.e. working as an external consultant for a consultancy firm on an adhoc basis.

As i was paid in cheque (everything legal so far). How do i demonstrate this stipend to the HSMP lads ?

1. An receipt from the consultancy work is good enough ? btw, the consultancy firm has gone bust last month...
2. do i need to produce an invoice ? (I do not have a registered company) with all the attached details of the work performed ?
3. a bank statement with the money is good enough ?

thanks

Hi,

You need to produce two piece of evidence for your earnings i.e. bank statements showing the claimed amt for each month and One out of these two:
1)Stamped and signed Pay slips for each month Or
2)Letter from employer stating the earned amt each month.

Thanks
Jenny
