Topic: Tired of HSMP wait, applying for PBS, damm with HSMP
Posted by gchawla007 (8) 08 May 2008
Hi Guys
I had visited UK before, got an offer and applied for HSMP on March 8th and now sick of waiting. It may take 2-3 weeks more and then EC. I am tempted to just scrap the damm thing and apply for PBS TIER 1. I dont care about money. Have all proofs duplicated. Have two masters so can send another degree here. Just wanted to know from ur experience if there can be a legal issue if PBS TIER 1 guys dont allow me as an HSMP app is pending.
Comments welcome

Yes,PBS Tier 1 from India. Did some research and figured I will loose 400 pounds which I can recover in 2 weeks salary differential if I manage to get their earlier.

I think it perfectly legal to submit several applications. But you have to mention all your previous applications in Tier1 form.
But beware Tier1 consideration now could take more then 1 month.

Hello Santa,

Do you know anyone who has applied under Tier 1 from India? I couldn't find out how long it will take to get the Tier 1 approval/denial from India. Where did you get that 1 month timeline from? I will need my passport to travel. If I apply for Tier 1 then they have my passport till they take a decision and that could be a problem for me.

thanks

I am aware of 5 cases of Tier1 application. They took from 28 to 35 days. But all of them are inland Tier1 applications.
So I don't think I can help you with Indian statistic. Sorry.

Its better to withdraw previous application first ( because you don't have orignal payslips with you may be other Master degree)
