Topic: English language proff > dont have original 1st degree certificate
Posted by indikyd (10) 09 Aug 2007
Hi,

I am in a strange situatiom. I have compeleted my MSc from UK . I have done my BSc from Pune India in 2003. At that time I missed the date thats why I didnt applied for the Bachelor's certifiate.
Now I have applied for my certificate with the help of my family member in India. But the certificate will be with me by Jan 2008. The problem is that if I wait for that long time then my Birthday gets pass and therefore I will not be able to earn necessary points which I can now.
My question is to prove the English language . What other documents I would need if I dont have my orginal degree certificate.I have following things with me.
1. Provisional Degree certifcate.
2. Degree Transcript
3. Receipt of the application of degree certificate (about a week old)
4. Letter from the college in Pune where I studied confirming Degree awared, Date of award, my name and language of instruction as English.

Will it be sufficient?

Please help..

Cheers

I believe its risky to apply without original certificate. I haven't seen anyone who got approved with provisional certificate. Although you can try along with your UK MSC certificate which will carry a lot of weight I believe and take IELTS test for the english language requirement as because you dont have the original certificate.

And one thing, you have to mention exceptional consideration mentioning the reason for submission the Provitional Bachelor Certificate.

And there is going to be a change in the immigration systems in 2008, Tier system no more HSMP!! so try your luck as early as possible.

Hope thats helpful
